when jesus spoke about "pointing out the speck in your brother's eye, when you have one in your own" I think that it means that we should worry about our own sins and if someone is sinning (being gay) then christ expects us to nothing more than remind them that they are , according to the bible, living against god's law. No one is going to hell for being gay. and no, being gay sex does not lead to other sins. so you have no need to assail homosexuality on the political level because the of the hand of providence.

If someday homosexual marriage becomes legal, do you think that more people would go to hell because of the wickedness spread by homosexuality? If you believe in a just god, you wouldn't think so.

what do you think?

Christians and the church are to inform and warn the unbelieving. If they are practicing homosexuals themselves speaking of the future, then read 2nd Peter 2 and Revelation 22, in the closet or on the downlow they cannot talk about it. Homosexuality is classified the same as adultery, fornication or worshipping animals and creation for that matter if you are reading Romans 1.

Sodom and Gomorrah were also guilty of greed and were rich according to Genesis 18 and Isaiah 1:9. As far as Christians bringing it into the social political arena..Read Daniel 11:36-42, they are responding to a potential future threat to mankind, by opening the door for a lethal dictator...

Christians are not called to fight against this or any other sin, but preach the truth and live it. Homosexuality is wrong just like any other sin and we preach the bible and obey the bible as God's word. Gay sex doesn't have to lead to any other sin, any sin is enough to send you to hell. Having any kind of sex outside of matrimony between a man and woman is sin and you will go to hell if you don't stop and repent of it.
If you believed in a just God you would be afraid to do things like homosexual sex. A just God can not let sin into heaven and there are only two places to go.. heaven or hell..

The rainbow of sin...

We are all sinners....the level and number of sins is another question, regardless of orientation.

Christianity is how we treat the 'least of mine'....it is not about war, I don't know what the religious right believes, (where in heaven is the religious left ?)

Back to the question...

Sin comes in all colors of the rainbow...and there are greater sins than that you mention...it is still a sin...

Problem is that today sinners, are trying to change the nature of sin so that they are not sinners, rather than change their sin...that is a great challenge...

Immorality exists in society...regardless of orientation...ever since homosexuality was decriminalized, there has been a drive by this movement to promote its behavior through society, through schools and in fact is attacking the traditional family unit...how ?

Well for one, lesbians, some lesbians have been involved in 'women's programs' promoting a hatred of men, a promotion of half-truth logic to divide the sexes....(not all lesbians but some...)

We do have a war between orientations going on...

We even have gays entering the catholic church trying to corrupt it...(they have been preying on alter boys for decades....)

Remember sin comes in all colors of the rainbow...good and bad in all groups...some are more deceptive, and corruptive than others...since many are hidden to the world and have a hidden agenda !

Many christians (catholics in particular) believe that sex is only to be for procreation. They seem to ignore the pleasure part of sex.

As Monty Python mocked: "Every sperm is sacred." Therefore, contraception is against god, homosexuality is against god, abortion is against god, etc. Although I have not heard this, I suppose one could also conclude then, that masturbation, oral sex, and anal sex are all against god too.

The genesis (pun intended) of all this seems to be the notion that god rules over everything biological. But that doesn't explain why he/she would be so obsessed over our sexual practices. Why isn't this god just as concerned about our defecation and urination? Was the christian god against the use of toilets? But I digress...

There are also the bible stories of the insane old testament god, who frequently killed whole populations for spite or jealousy. In at least one case, he supposedly wiped out a population of homos. I guess some christians feel it is their duty to judge others' behavior based on these old myths.

Something to do with the last nine letters of the word. And if the practitioners of this particular kind of sex did not flaunt it in the faces of the public, and try to change the legal meaning of marriage etc, then they would be in a position to move the discussion on to other things. But they are the ones elevating the sexual aspect.

Christians must fight this on a social/political level because homosexuality is a social/political issue to both sides of this coin.

It goes against the idea of the whole family concept. Homosexuality is a deviant sexual behavior. It goes aginst all the laws of god for
pro-creation.

Nothing personal & I hardly know you. I think anything that gets to do with the religion, religion will mess it up. Eg. Homosexual ( body hormones), War ( political), Pole dancing ( exercise), aborption, suicide....Take away the religion, everything is so clear. To me, religion creates discriminate, & discriminate creates hate.

No WAY!! Christians have NO right to fight gays and pagans or whatever else they choose. The bible says "judge not lest ye be judged", evangelicals aree doomed to burn in hell.
