No, God did not create any devil, even though God created many spirit persons similar to himself, in the Bible they are called angels. Also they are called "sons of God".(Job38:7)(Psalm104:4; Hebrews1:7,13,14) God created them all perfect, not one of them was a devil or a satan. The word "devil " means slanderer and the word "satan "means opposer.
The time came, however, when one of these spirit sons of God made himself the Devil, that is, a hateful liar who speaks bad things about another. He also made himselfSatan, that is, an opposer of God. He was not created that way, but later he became that kind of person. To illustrate: A thief is not born a thief. He may have come from a good family, having honest parents and law-abiding brothers and sisters. But his own desire for what money can buy is what could have caused him to become a thief. How, then, did one of God's spirit sons make himself Satan the Devil?
The angel that became the Devil was present when God created the earth nd later the first human couple, Adam and Eve(Job38:4,7) So he would have heard God tell them tohave children and.(Genesis1:27,28) He knew that after a while the whole earth would be filled with righteous people worshiping God. That was God's purpose. However, this angel thought a great deal; of his own beauty and intelligence and wanted to receive for himself the worship that would gbe given to God.(Ezekiel28:13-15; Matthew4:10) Instead of putting this wrong desire out of his mind, he kept thinking about it. This led to his taking action to obtain the honr and importance he desired.
Satan is Corrupting mankind to this day with his lies, and mankind are falling blindly into all his traps, yes he has many traps set up in this world, the same lie he told eve is
Of course as soon as the rebellion happened God could have destroyed the three rebells. there was no question that he ws stronger than Satan or Adam and Eve. But destroying them would not have settled matters in the best way. For example, it would not have answered the question of wether humans could successfully rule themselves without help from God. So he allowed time to settle this important issue that was raised.

Because the creation wanted to be greater then the creator. In other words he wanted to take over. Pinochio and Geppetto is a childrens fictional story about a wooden puppet that wished to become a real person. Today many people wish to become wooden puppets.

Quote:"it's like Pinochio turning against Geppetto."
Or a kid hitting his dad over the head with a hammer. Hehe.
It happens.

The Ballad Of The Proverbs
.
So rough the goat will scratch, it cannot sleep.
So often goes the pot to the well that it breaks.
So long you heat iron, it will glow;
so heavily you hammer it, it shatters.
So good is the man as his praise;
so far he will go, and he's forgotten;
so bad he behaves, and he's despised.
So loud you cry Christmas, it comes.
.
So glib you talk, you end up in contradictions.
So good is your credit as the favors you got.
So much you promise that you will back out.
So doggedly you beg that your wish is granted;
so high climbs the price when you want a thing;
so much you want it that you pay the price;
so familiar it gets to you, you want it no more.
So loud you cry Christmas, it comes.
.
So, you love a dog. Then feed it!
So long a song will run that people learn it.
So long you keep the fruit, it will rot.
So hot the struggle for a spot that it is won;
so cool you keep your act that your spirit freezes;
so hurriedly you act that you run into bad luck;
so tight you embrace that your catch slips away.
So loud you cry Christmas, it comes.
.
So you scoff and laugh, and the fun is gone.
So you crave and spend, and lose your shirt.
So candid you are, no blow can be too low.
So good as a gift should a promise be.
So, if you love God, you obey the Church.
So, when you give much, you borrow much.
So, shifting winds turn to storm.
So loud you cry Christmas, it comes.
.
Prince, so long as a fool persists, he grows wiser;
so, round the world he goes, but return he will,
so humbled and beaten back into servility.
So loud you cry Christmas, it is here.
.

Sorry but I turned thumbs down on some of you . you were close . but are mixing up two or three different entities and casting them as one.
As for the original questioner.the CREATOR made SATAN along with the souls of ALL that are AND WILL BE.Before the creation of the Physical universe that we live in now. SATAN was given the job of being the tempter of the human soul away from the CREATORS commandments and to be especially tough on "the CHRIST"to see if he could be tempted away from His appointed mission.
The word DEVIL mean a follower of SATAN.
ST. Lucifer was Going to be appointed to be this worlds Guardian Angel .Until he let pride overcome Him and lead a revolt in Heaven thinking HE could run creation better then the CREATOR could. And lost not only his promised position but was thrown out of Heaven along with those Angels that followed HIM. And they fell through the heavens until they landed on a Island which became their prison to await the Day of Judgment.
The confusion comes from the early Church that added the as above so below saying to the religion. and had to find bad entities to fill the different levels of Hell. It was the Church that took away the ST. form ST. Lucifer.

Devil was Gods right hand man he had alnost as much power as he did but wanted more and reveled against God with other bad angels now known as demons so he got rid of him. The way I see it is like this it's like a ying yang thing there can't be good without being evil too. So since God is all Love and compasion and merciful and all those things that make a good father, than the devil is the complete opposite, hatred rage he's a liar a blasphemer,etc. Does this make sense? I hope it does

well first of all the Pinochio Gepptto thing, cute, but he could have turned against him all the same, think about all the unruly children we see this day and age, how many stories do you see in newspapers of children fighting with parents? and sometimes even killing them? How many times have the machines that man has created gone haywire and worked against them? Lucifer was a created being with the ability to choose, he didnt start out jus hating God, no, he became jealous of Jesus, wondering why Jesus was exalted above him, and that jealousy was a sin, and sins go against God, but he loved his sin too much and lusted after the power, so his anger switched from just God the Fathers son but to all heavenly beings who wouldn't succum to his will, he became an enemy to God in his thirst for power. o and to comment on the statement "your" God, yea, He's God whether you acknowelege Him our not, not just my God, not just your God, but Lord of all. :)

Hello again Kevin,
I've answered you before and I'm still wondering where you come up with questions like this one. Is there a underlying truth hidden in what you ask, or are you just typing to type?
God created you too Kevin. What if you went bad? Is that God's fault? No I say, its your fault. You have a choice as did Satan or Lucifer better said.
Did I help you? I hope so.><>

God didn't create the Devil
But he did created the Angel "Lucifer" the light bearer
The most beautiful Angel -maybe golden hair and blue eyes, he disobey God because God made him the most beautiful, intelligent, strongest Angel and he's the head of all angels. When God ask him to do something he refuse to do so. So God took away he's good looks and burn his beautiful wings. As punishment he lives in Hell for all eternity.

Lucifer decided to exercise free will and by doing took on something that God had only meant for Man. For this trespass God threw Lucifer down from Heaven. Or if you want to split hairs, the archangel Michael fought with Lucifer and defeated him, casting him out of heaven for all time. That's one version.
In the early, hebrew versions of the bible, Satan/Lucifer is a judge sort of a character. I think he evolved into a demonic foil to keep people in line.
