If you are a believer I think the Epistles, or Letters if you prefer, are of first importance, as these are specifically directed towards believers who have been born again in Christ. The Book of Romans is key to understanding the rest of the Epistles/Letters.
After that, the Gospels and Acts and Revelation.
I have a habit of reading from Matthew through Acts, and then starting over. At the same time I read Romans through Revelation, and then start over.
Also, I have a Psalm every morning for breakfast - much better for you than a Danish !

there are plenty to chose from. First one comes to mind is Rom. 8:28, Jer. 29:11, or Phillipians 1:7. Best thing to do is to pray that God directs you to the one you need to read right now. Prayer is a powerful tool not readily embraced by many.

Generally speaking, Book of Satan, 4:1-3

1: Life is the great indulgence -- death, the great abstinence. Therefore, make the most of life -- HERE AND NOW!
2: There is no heaven of glory bright, and no hell where sinners roast. Here and now is our day of torment! Here and now is our day of joy! Here and now is our opportunity! Choose ye this day, this hour, for no redeemer liveth!
3: Say unto thine own heart, "I am mine own redeemer."
