Since this is in the hunting section, I will go with a Remmington 22 rifle as my favorite firearm.

Since the question asks "gun" I will say Remmington 870 shotgun.

In case you are asking about handguns, then it is my P89 9mm.

I like the Glock Model 30 .45 Cal. and the Ruger Mini-14 .223 cal.

If you want a .22 recomendation is:

Pistol
Walther P-22
Ruger Mk III

Rifle
Ruger 10/22

There are a lot of .22's out there but those are my favorites

A CZ-75 semi-auto 9mm pistol from Czechoslovakia. It's the most copied design in the world because it's the best overall design. It's also forged from a solid billet of steel which makes it a more solid gun and... it has a reverse slide rail which is a stronger design for wear. It's also pretty accurate from the factory, (with a shot target enclosed with each gun to prove it!).
Smooth, accurate, and ergonomically fit! Wonderful weapon right out of the box!

Even though i don't have this rifle i think that the best rifle is probably the AK-47. Truly marvelous, this rifle is incredibly simple to use, very reliable even so if it is muddy and it is very difficult to become jammed. This rifle is also very easy to clean and mantain but because of that the accuracy suffers just a bit. It is one of the most famous or infamous weapons (depends how you look at it) in the world. This rifle was copied and recopied by many countries such Egypt, Hungary, North Korea, China and Yugoslavia among others. It's design was also copied for many other firearms that came after it.

Having owned just about everything......I can say without hesitation that my FAVORITE gun is my NEXT gun.....

You see, looking and finding that perfect specimen is all part of the fun, especially for old collectors items.

That said, my favorite handgun is my Browning Hi Power. It's been tuned and tweaked and it packs 18 rounds and well, I trust my life to it working when I need it. Which I pray I never do but you can't be too careful, it has extracted me from a couple of sticky situations involving people who wanted my stuff for themselves.

shotguns cheap to shoot and you can do a lot with um My fave is my Benelli SBE i use it for everything even though i own about 15 shotguns. I also use a Yildiz 20 ga O/U for skeet and sporting clays its a blast. I love shooting 22's but after a while it gets boring once you have one dialed in. 10 in the 10 ring and what else is there to do?

I have a John Jovino "Effector". It is a three inch barreled, round butt, stainless steel, S&W 629, 44 magnum. Best trigger job on a gun that I have ever had. Great accuracy, my personnel best is a three inch group at 50 yards, standing/unsupported. Had the gun fully engraved two years ago. This one is a keeper!!

I love my Glock 27 .40. Desert Eagles are pretty nice guns, just very expensive.
