Theres a guy i work with and i have always had a crush on him but i knew he has a girlfriend so i kept clear. A few months ago we started getting along really well and sort of flirting, at the start didnt think it was anything, but the flirting got more serious. Anyway we have spoken about the whole thing several times and i have told him it needs to stop because my feelings are likely to get hurt and that he should think more about how he has a girlfriend. Everytime we agree for it too stop it does for a little while then it gets right back were it started. Its getting to me because i have geniune feelings for this guy. I do realise if he will do it to her, he could do it to me and what not, im looking for advice on how to avoid getting hurt without us being weird around each other, we have to work together. Also nothing more than flirting has happened. And we dont talk about how we feel about each other, so i have no idea if he would actually want to be with me. Help me out

first of all, even if he didn't have a girlfriend, i think it is best to avoid dating someone from the workplace. too much at stake if you like your job, meaning that it things don't work out you might be faced with an uncomfortable situation at work.

secondly, i think he's playing you: he knows you know about his girlfriend, and he still flirts? he enjoys the attention he gets from your crush, meanwhile, you are left in a limbo as you don't know what the upshot from this would be but it leaves you wondering. in my opinion, reading your post, you ARE GETTING HURT ALREADY going through what's been going on. please, do not do this to yourself.

therefore, i'd advice you to pull yourself together and stay away if you can.

i read one of your previous posts, maybe consult a medical professional and talk about how you feel in general, cuz it maybe some form of depression that you are going through and that i believe is completely treatable/curable.

other things that come to mind you could also do: start dating other people, pick up new hobbies, whatever keeps your mind off this. for example, some single people i know tried salsa and they meet decent date-able people all the time, so maybe something like that maybe an option to get started on...

please take good care of yourself. please always remember that your family loves you and that people care about you.

In the first place, you knew that he already had a girlfriend so, why get involved with him, and another thing if you both work together that is the first thing you should have thought of, because thing about it, you think that the flirting as you say is getting to get serious, and before long you find out that he, was only trying to see how far he could get with you, if you know what I mean. It Would be awkward working with someone after that. If he really wanted to be more than friends with you he would already have broken off with his girlfriend.

It depends on what kind of flirting you are doing. If he's serious about his girlfriend, write him off. Or just tell him if he's serious about her to let you know. If you can't stop yourself ask for a move in the company or find a new job.

stay away from him not only because he has a girlfriend but think about it...would you want to be his girlfriend and have someone else come along and him do the same thing to you? They usually have patterns so I would run like hell and find someone that is worth your time...right now you are wasting your time on him he is a player.

until you opt to stay buddies with the guy, which you do not sound such as you do, then yeah, easily tell her. If it replaced into my boyfriend doing that, i could choose the girl to tell me. that's what any lady could choose, good? tell her, you may even make a chum out of her :)

Get over him and move on. He is taken, and he is a co-worker. Those are two major strikes against him; don't get involved.
