I wasn't aware that animals had souls and could choose their belief systems so what are we doing in the Religion and Spirituality section with this one? Do pagans or occults use animals in their sacrifices or something? I'm afraid I couldn't stop that sort of thing as I don't hob-knob with those folks. I don't know of anyone who tortures animals and I'm not ready to engage in war on this one.

'cause some people have no heart and enjoy being cruel. They get their sick thrills by inflicting torture and pain on an animal. I guess it gives them some sort of sick rush or high from doing such hideous acts of cruelty. I can't imagine someone ever wanting to do senseless torture and harm to an animal - it turns my stomach when I hear such horror stories of animal cruelty.

Because we as humans place ourselves higher than ANY animal. We have souls you know, they don't. WE are at the top of the food chain. I guess this rationale helps em' sleep better.
