It seems to me that there are more than a few people on this site who want nothing more than to bash the current administration for going into Iraq, but don't want to contribute to the finding of a solution. While any government cover up needs to be addressed, now is not the time for such discourse. We need to figure out a way to get our troops home safely, but without leaving Iraq to "the wolves."
Personally, I feel more US troops in an advisory position are needed to help the Iraqi force train more troops faster. As these new Iraqi forces become available, the US troops can slowly shed their numbers from active areas of resistance to more remote areas, where they can act as support. The key is getting the new Iraqi forces trained and equipped. Once this has happened, the troops acting as support can concentrate more on the border regions to Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, helping to slow down the foreign elements coming into the country and adding more problems to the sectarian one
