Ah, the universe is big. So, yeah you're right, we're just a speck of dust in a gigantic ceiling fan.

This only emphasizes the ominscience, omnipresence and omnipotence of God. God can oversee everything (however minute) over the whole universe all at one time. No wonder some cannot figure God out with their minds. God is so big and pervasive and yet He loves us all intimately.

Yes the universe is gigantic, so is Heaven (Smiles). God loves us for the very point that most of us think that we are only a little spec ( or a tiny ant) that should not be cared ,loved or thought about. But we are all worth gold to God and he is a loving God so no matter how minute we may seem to ourselves or others his love and forgiveness is never ending.

Someone who created it, would care about every speck -- human or non-human.

In my opinion, except for mathematical calculations involved in creating and sustaining it, He doesn't bother about most of the other stuff -- it's supposed to work by itself -- like clockwork or a machine perhaps. :)

What difference does it make how big the universe is? Would god care about meteors and neutron stars that he would think of mankind as a meaningless venture?
