Whether you make a pact with lucifer or god it's the same thing in essence, why do christians believe there's a difference?

I mean metaphorically, as in give yourself to them, or follow them. It's like trying to pick which parent to go with when they get divorced. When given a choice between a vengeful god and a vengeful satan, you can't win.

Given the above details how can you say there is a "right" choice?

Splinter: You have just illustrated what I was talking about yourself, you have given this god your "whole being" in return, he has supposedly given you eternal life in paradise, that sounds like a transaction to me.

You can't sell your soul.

Divinity does not bother about buying and selling; Trade and barter systems are man-made concepts. ;)

You can choose your friends/who you work for, but not your parent. (going in the abstract now -- check if you can see beyond the metaphor.) Your father is your father whether you work for Him or against Him.

It's not the same thing at all. Lucifer is not God. Satan is the fallen angel formally known as Lucifer and the morning star verse needs to be studied in more detail if you believe otherwise.
Edit: That may be true but eternity in heaven is not the same as eternity in hell is it?

are you saying that God and the devil are the same? I, a Christian have not sold my soul to anyone or anything. I gave my whole being to God because He sent His Son to die for me, in order that I can go to heaven when I die. It's a free gift He gives to all who believe in Him. I praise God for this gift. There's no pact. No deal. It's a gift given to me freely. Try reading just one book of the Bible. Romans. May God give you many chances to come to Him.

Hum? Live with Lucifer or God. The father of Lie's or the father of our spirit's and our body's. Well after reviewing what I know I don't think I could trust the devil to make me happy so I chose God.

With your type of thinking would it even matter if we told you the truth?

It makes a Huge difference.

Common sense tells you who should have your soul.

God won't force you to do anything......he gives us Free Will to choose. But he also knows your heart and mind.

Don't harden your heart and mind unless you want to have an unhappy and unfulfilling life now and in eternity.

Making a pact with God is making a pact with my creator who knows me better than I could possibly ever know myself. It's surrendering my fallible human nature over to the wisdom of the God who created the entire universe. Who knows better how to guide me or love me or offer me a great life than the one who created me and the one who created all?

Making a pact with Satan is a losing cause considering he has already been defeated by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He already tried to overtake Heaven and failed and he has already been banished to hell. He makes it his personal goal to take as many people with him as he can. This is a no win situation for any human to consider.

Here's an analogy for you:

Surrendering to God is like me surrendering or submitting my will to the instruction of a martial arts master. It's His desire and my desire to improve my mind, my body and my strength with his instruction but it requires my dedication and my obedience. By following the "rules" and giving respect to the "master" I improve my life and achieve my goals.

Surrendering to Satan is like me giving control of my life to a pimp. He only wants to dress me up and make me look pretty for his own evil benefit. It will always lead to destruction.

Since the soul is the Blood, you can sell it in parts every few weeks at the blood bank, just like the bag lady.

Jesus will get you to heaven and you will have a wonderful eternity. The devil will just get you to hell and you will have a horrible eternity.
