No puppy/dog is ever FREE. If you do find a puppy that is "free" consider the money and time it will cost you to PROPERLY care for your new "pet". Keeping in mind the cost of vaccinating the puppy (which includes 4 trips to the vet for boosters 4 weeks apart, then once a year for the rest of their life) deworming, having the pup spayed or neutered, flea and heartworm prevention (every year), training, feeding, and being able to fork up aprox.$2000 on the spot in case of an accident (hit by a car, a dog fight, illness, etc etc...) If you don't want to pay for a dog are you then still willing to pay for all of the above?

If you can not pay for a puppy how can you afford the medical care a puppy will need? The first year, can be very expensive just to keep up it's vaccinations. I think you should consider waiting until you can afford to buy a puppy. You want to be able to give it the proper medical care it will need. Volunteer at your local human society or an animal shelter in your area in the mean time. Give your attention to a lot of animals there.

Sorry honey but there's no such thing. You may get away without an upfront cost but just like everything else in life you have to pay for bills. Food, care, toys, bedding, emergency's. I want a puppy really bad (much like you I grew up with dogs all my life). I cry myself to sleep most nights wishing I had my little girl, unfortunately I just can't right now. It's killing me but I refuse to bring her into an unstable situation and cause her pain. Until I'm able to afford all the things listed above and MORE, I won't be able to hold her. Until then Mia, I love you and your mine forever in my heart.

I don't think you should own any animals if you have given them up just because they peed on you.

Volunteer at the animal shelter and learn some pet ownership responsibilities...maybe they will change their minds some time later about you.

Please check www.petfinder.org for a new pet. They are a search engine of shelters and rescue groups. Rescue pets generally have all their medical work done including spaying/neutering surgeries, a necessary procedure. They are typically priced much lower than pet stores or breeders sell them for. What a deal!

Look in the newspaper under the pet section. There are plenty of puppies and kittens being given away.

By the way, your shelter has some weird policies.

if you can't afford to pay to adopt a puppy then you do not need to own a puppy. where are you going to get the money to pay for veterinary care, food, toys, etc...?????????????? if you are unable to afford proper care it is selfish for you to bring a poor little dog home
