Is North Carolina School of the Arts a good choice for you?

Lots of schools have good theatre programs, including many junior colleges. There is an accrediting organization for Theatre schools. Many of the better programs will be members, I'm sure.

The Juilliard School in NYC is one of the best performing arts schools in the world. If you can get in that is.

Another place would be the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University, again in NYC. Just to give you an idea of what this school can produce, some of the famous Alumni include:

Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, James Dean, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Al Pacino and Julia Roberts

I'm not sure about any place in NC. Really, if you want to be an actor NY is the place to start, though you could of course try L.A. too. But, like I said, if you want actual training in the art of acting then NY is the place to go.

Julliard if you definately KNOW that you will ONLY EVER want to just act. If you think there is even the REMOTEST CHANCE that you want to direct either in theater, television, or movies you will want to attent NYC.
