My boyfriend and I have been dating for three years. He is 28, I am 21. I'm just curious as to how long everyone else waited and what their age difference was. :)

My husband & I waited 10 monthes - he is 1 month older than I.
Our daughter & son-in-law waited 3 1/2 years and she is 3 years older then he. #1 son and DIL waited 5 years and he is 3 years older thatn her. #2 son & DIL waited four years and he is 3 years older than her. We tease our #3 son telling him he has to marry someone either 3 years younger or older than he to keep our new family tradition going.

Knew him for three years and dated two of those. Got engaged 8 months before the wedding. I was 28, he was 38.

I would recommend dating for at least a year before getting engaged.
As far as age difference goes, my husband is two and a half years older than I am.

My first time engaged I was 17, and he was 6 months older, 18, and it was on our 1 year anniversary. That relationship lasted 2 1/2 years.
The second time, I was 22 and he was 24, it was after almost 3 years of dating.

He's 24. I'm 22. We got engaged about a year or so after we started dating. We'll be engaged for over a year though.

My now husband asked me to go ring shopping after one month of dating. I was 25 and he was 32 at the time. He proposed 3 months after that. We've been together for 3 years total and married over 1 year.
