My camera is messing up. i use a nikon and its program is pictureproject. i can't get my pics out of it. every time i plug in the cord a bubble pops up that says that windows doesn't recognize the usb device and and try again. i've tried about 15 million times already and it keeps saying the same thing. any fellow nikon users can help me?

Your problem is that probably your software is not properly set up or either your computer usb or camera usb is damaged. please correct those problems

When that happened to me, it was a faulty USB cable. It doesn't work in my desktop PC. It works on my laptop OK.
I got a new cable for use at home and everything was fine. I took the cable back to the store but 6 weeks later they still hadn't even sent it off so I got it back off them.
