Yeah, same for me while using Limewire..... Its sometimes as good as 35 KB/s while at other times, it just gets stuck at 1-2 Kb/s. :-(

But there is a free software, FlashGet which supports BitTorrent and considerably fastens up your download(sometimes by 200-400%!!!1). It looked good when I had tried it, but since it doesn't support Limewire, I dumped it. I dunno the website, please do Google it.

:-)

Torrent is a p2p sharing program and it depends on the seeders(uploader) to keep online and allow to share it. Try to find the torrent that have most seeders. It usually getting slow in the night, when everyone is sleeping.. But when its morning it will getting faster and faster.. It also depends what torrent client you are using.. I prefer Azureus(recomended) and BitComet.. It is the top bit torrent client right now.. If you're using BitComet, you can dowload BitComet Accelaration patch in the internet.. Hope thats helps.. =)

your firewall might be blocking access you isp, and you might not be getting the speeds you want. i have azureus and it works great for me, i tried utorrent and bittorrent i thought both sucked, i suggest switching to azureus and look at this to increase speeds to maxium. http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Increase_download_speed
