I have very frizzy hair but I also have very nice curls and i know without the frizz my hair would look fine without having to apply so much stuff to it. How can make the frizz go away? I have tried many frizz products and none have worked. I have also used my conditioners and shampoos but they don't seem to work.

Stop using shampoo. Wash your hair with conditioner as the cleanser.(Yes, it sounds gross, but it helps with frizz and it will get your hair clean.)

It's not that you're not using the right products, it's that you're stripping your hair every time you use shampoo, even if you use a gentle shampoo. Curly hair isn't the same as straight hair. Because the shaft is open, when you put shampoo on it, it goes straight to the shaft and the soap dries it out and damages it as well as being really hard to rinse all the way out.

Lorraine Massey wrote "Curly Girls" where she explains how curly hair is different and how most people understand how to treat straight hair but have no idea how to treat curly hair.

She explains the 3 different kinds of curly hair and how to figure out which yours is, then goes on to explain how to use conditioner to shampoo your hair instead of shampoo and how to dry your hair without frizzing it.

Put conditioner in your hair and massage your scalp the same way you would if it were shampoo you were using. Then finger comb it gently from underneath to get tangles out. Then rinse the conditioner out of your hair and scrunch it to get excess water out. (NO RUBBING.) It really doesn't matter what kind of mousse or gel you use as long as its a moisturizing one. Scrunch the gel or mousse into your hair the same way you scrunched the water out. Then rub some gel between your palms and smooth it lightly over the mantle (outer layer) of your hair to help prevent frizz.

Use a deep conditioner on your hair at least once a month, more if it's damaged.

Like you I have spiral curls; my favorite products are here: ouidad.com although I'll warn you, they're pricey.

Hope this helps!

Have you tried citri shine? Also if you add just a little bit of baby oil into your conditioner it helps also, but just do like the size of a dime or it will make your hair look really oily.

Try SILK DROPS from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens or CVS. I think Wal-Mart carries it also. It's absolutely great!
