when you get to college how do youknow what major to pursue? I want a genius in high school but now im in community college and imscared to pursue a career! Im afraid when i get into the career i might mess up big time. I need advice!

Just take up first year studies first then focus on what you love to do! Dont become a nurse because of the pay become one because you lovehelping people and have patient!! Do something you enjoy!

It is very normal to be nervous about a career the first time you step into the college world. Most people feel exactly as you describe. Go online to one of the sites below and check out the career guidance opportunities. Perhaps you can start there.
You should also contact a career counselor at your school.

Take a variety of general study courses while in community college. There is no need to declare a major yet. Furthermore, a large number of students who do declare majors early on later change. Few students actually finish in four years because of this.

You should talk to the counselors at your school. There are a number of psychological and interest tests available to help you choose the major that is best for you.

IMHO the things that You are gifted else the ones You like to know.

An old prof told me once: we want the really gifted and the ones really interested and ready to go at great pains to get on.
