Are boys and girls different... or is it a personality thing...?

I don't think I am 'man bashing' to my daughter... but I do make comments that boys tend to be rougher and girls tend to be more 'feeling'. This comes up when boys annoy her... Is this giving her a negative attitude toward boys and edventually men? She is 7 and aks alot of questions

you are doing well. They are different. It is hard sometimes to raise your kids without 'bashing' someone. But it sounds that you are on the lookout for that... so if you do, you will catch yoruself.

Boys and Girls are different emotionally and physically. Instead of using the word rougher, use the word action or physical. When boys annoy her, explaining that they do not handle situations the same way girls do is a good thing but also explain that its neither right, nor wrong, just different. It is man bashing depending on the tone and intent and it will leave her with a negative attitude if you only use negative terms. Men have a lot of great qualities that compliment womens great qualitites. And make sure you let her know its not ALL men, that some men are verbal and feely just as she is.

Men and Women are totally different, I have found girls are a lot cattier and will b!tch about things behind there backs much more than guys do, where boys will tend to confront others and even settle it with fists, but a lot of the times guys just make up over time. Girls I think can be much more emotional than guys, take things much more to heart, most boys will just shrug it off and be over with it.

I don't think boys are more rougher, I think its just because males tend to be much more stronger than females that it may look like they are rougher, boys are much more adventurous and are willing to take on tasks that are riskier than others, where as girls have a much more placid nature.

Boys tend to be stronger in physical strength and girls tend to be more domestic. Men and women these days tend to be both capable of bringing home the bacon and some share in the home job more, raising kids and such. God Created Man and Woman to be equal in all respects not making one smarter or one weaker but equal, try telling her to just stand her ground but don't go overboard with the comments. Some men and women just don't develop in their thinking and some just don't get it.
