Hammer works good, but it can be reassemled, it has been done.
The most or best is still the free, yes it is still free on some Archive Sites, Eraser.5.1, set it to do a 1000 Write Wipe , leave pc on for a few days, it will kinda be gone, sorta.

if its a hard disk data even if wiped can still possibly recovered but a tool that can help is dariks boot on source forge but the only way to be secure is to flatten the harddrive

I use sure delete, you can get it at http://www.download.com it will delete files, and it will overwrite the free space on your hard drive.
