The one thing which will most determine what will result by resizing the ring is what you yourself believe will happen.
If the ring were made larger by beating it gently to make the band thinner then there should be no problem at all. No material is lost or added and the symbolic circuit of the ring remains unbroken.
The energy of the spell should naturally reflect the holographic nature of the universe and therefor removing a piece of the ring to make it smaller may do no harm since the spell is complete in every part of the ring. However if the ring band must remain unbroken as a condition of the spell then this would risk destroying the spell even though the spell itself should be holographic. Reclosing the circuit with a small piece removed may restore it but without examination by one sensitive to and knowledgable of such a spell it may not be worth the risk.
It may be a much different matter to make the ring larger if the ring is made larger by cutting and inserting a piece, if the spell requires an uninterrupted circuit the new piece may not close the circuit because it is not imbued with the energy of the spell.
You might consider a thin leather band to wear under the ring on your pinky finger.

Okay. You were drawn to the ring. so far so good. How do you know it has a real energy spell attached to it? Did it have a piece of paper that says so? Most of those have had nothing special done to them and are mass produced. So resizing would be no problem . Just resay what was on the Paper afterward. to respell it.
A ring of good quality can be resized up about two sizes with a good jeweler with out having to cut the ring to make it any bigger which would break the spell also.It may break anyway because the metal has become to thin to stand much strain.
Other wise just leave as is and put it on a chain or string.

It depends on what in the ring you were drawn to. If it is the stone then resizing shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps then you would want to recharge or cleanse it. If the circle of the ring is where the energy is then resizing might make a difference, especially if they were to cut the band in doing so. (some methods of resizing do - some dont)

Personally, I would put it on a chain. Especially if re-sizing meant removing the stone in the process. But, I feel if you're drawn to the ring and the energy it carries then don't alter it. You were drawn to it and it to you in the form that it is right now. And, you were drawn together for some particular reason, btw.

I don't think having a ring slightly enlarged would hurt any energy in it. I believe it's better to wear the ring on your finger so it absorbs your energy over time. All they need to do to enlarge most rings is to heat the metal and just stretch it a little. Most metals can take that easily. I'd far rather wear my rings on my fingers (I have 7 Stirling silver rings) than try and wear them all around my neck. You'll find you add more rings over time, and wear different ones depending on what you're doing, or where you are going.

resizing by stretching will not hurt it but resizing by cutting and soldering breaks the ring. So have it resized by having it stretched on a mandrel to your larger fingers size. If you can not do that then in a pouch or on a chain. If you can extract and store what is there and then replace it then you can remake the ring.

Although I have no experience with this myself, I don't see how it would affect the energies in a ring if you were to have it resized.
Although it couldn't hurt to put a few energy blocks on it to preserve its energy before you have it resized, just in case.

i don't think that resizing it would effect the energy, but if you are really worried about it wear it on a chain.
your worry might mean that you shouldn't resize this particular ring.
blessed be

I think only Almighty God's blessings would withstand such an assault.
EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT
Before you judge me, consider this. The energies given off by the things used to change the ring are likely contrary. Usually it will be hammered, or sawn, hammered and heated. Almost any "element" of useful crap you may have enscrolled on it will be screwed up. Comparison: Might as well microwave it for a couple hours...
EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2 EDIT 2
Here is a Christmas gift to pagans, God loves you.
Look at it this way. The blessing of the Almighty and Eternal God allows His will to be done, regardless of other circumstances. On the other hand, pagans and witches and so forth, wish to bend spirtuality to their will, so they use lesser blessings.
So, unless it has some kind destructive ring, the heat would be too hot, or the hammering (vibration) to slow, or to harsh. Sawing will break its unity, and without clear purpose (which God might find acceptable, but in the form of a lesser blessing it becomes very much doubtful).
Here you all are doubting all over the place. Hey, it's like adding to its creation after its completed.
May God bless you.
