I just came back from a Christmas dinner with family and my little cousin was there whom I met for the first time, he lost his mom earlier this year when they just moved here. He was looking at her picture for the longest time, I thought he was going to cry...but he smiled and ran around. Then our aunt said that she's in heaven with the birthday boy Jesus. I felt torn cause just recently I left my Christian religion because I quit believing that Jesus was the Savior and I even called him Lucifer. I felt that religion was too complex for me and I was really praying to God to show me the right one. Tonight I realized that God loves us all dearly no matter what religion we are; Christian, Islam, Jewish, heck even Satanists probably. That's cause we're all His children, some lost and some close with Him. He has compassion for His lost ones just like any of His followers...I learned to respect everything and everyone...So what have you learned this year?

There is a story of a prophet ( I don't remember which one) who had asked God to destroy the people who don't believe and trust him. God asked him to take his followers to a safe place and he smite the unbelievers,After a few days God asked His Prophet to make 50 clay bowls. He then asked him to paint the bowls and make them beautiful. The prophet did as commanded and informed God that he had done the needful.God then asked him to break the bowls he had created. The prophet was shocked and he whined about the time and days he spent making the clay bowls with all the love he had in him, and now the command is to break them! What did God want him to realize?
Yes, we are all made with love, though of different color and religion.we all possess an atom of the Spirit he has blown in us. So why stand on judgement for the others.Who has given us this right? I have learned to respect others and see the face of God in every person.

1. I realized that God doesn't expect me to accomplish everything other people aren't doing, and I don't need to feel guilty for everything that's going wrong in the world that I'm not trying to fix. What freedom!
2. I also realized that it's not true that when I'm really desperate, the people I'm most counting on, God included, will just laugh and say: "You made your bed, now sleep in it!"
Both of these illogical ideas were things I believed subconsciously. If someone had asked me if they were true, I would have said, "Of course not! Don't be silly!" But I found I was living as if they were facts anyway.

The one thing i learned? Better ability to brush off religious ridicule. Ive learned how bad some people can be at religious slander towards your face. Ive alos learned how Good some people are aswell though,
So ive really learned to brush it all of as long as there areatleast some people out there that still have peace and tolerance towards other faiths.

Well, happy for you. Just don't say God loves atheists.

What have I learned this year? More about Evolution. Seriously... it's a fascinating subject. I want to learn every aspect of it. Good thing I realized this year? I'm still alive. That's #1 on my list of pros. :D

God works in most all religions..... go to any church God is there.
What I ascertain is you don't need to be in a religion as long as you connect with God. Also I ascertain that Prayers is the same thing as God's unlimited power through Jesus Christ.

When them little voices whisper in your ear, to give up........ I say never give up....

I have so many realizations honey that it would take forever to list them, but among the best this year was that I was me....all my life, other people tried to "push" me to be more than myself.....but finally I just took a stand with them and myself, really......and I just became a very spiritual person....now a mentor too.....so I feel really blessed.....and you should too...lol....

Merry Christmas....God Bless You!!

Carol i liked your beautifull words, but i should tell you that God has no children. We have children because we need them,we will not live for ever, but God don't have sons or douters because he don't need,God has his soldiers(angles),God means the ultemate level of eveything and thank you for respecting...
The thing i learned is that i have to find my way by searching in religions to find the best in them......and i found...

I hate to say I, but you just proved my point. All these so-call "ex-atheists" always come from religious backgrounds. No real atheist "finds god".

But to answer your question... I found out I'm on the deans list. :-D

I opened myself up to feelings again. That is a bad thing. It is better to have fun but never fall in love.
