Yeah, pretty much. It annoys me as much to see an atheist answer, "What if there WAS a god and ..." with "but there isn't..." as it does when a theist answers, "What if there was provably not a god and..." with "but there is so you can't prove there isn't."
Yeash, will someone please explain the concept of a hypothetical to some of these people?

I don't answer questions with Bible verses.
In fact, I used a lot of science to answer questions because no one seems to know squat. Not a single person here knew the Big Bang was postualted by a Catholic Priest.
No one here seemed to know Eistein believed in God.
Few knew the father of Genetics was a Catholic Abbott.
Few know about the theories and writings of Plank and Heisenberg and how these theories show how and why sciences doesn't always work twice in a row.
Most don't understand Relatavistic thinking.
Atheists keep forgetting their main men include Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh.
The best offense is to use the weapons of your enemy against them.
Atheists understand that too, which is why they study the Bible and THEY use the Bible quotes. Those are the smater ones, although they don't always understand what they are quoting.
Thus, it's become clear to me how superficial atheists here generally are.

Actually being an Atheist is thinking very much outside of the box. A lot of us are familiar with the scriptures and we have done our research. There is no need to elaborate when only a few words can answer the question.

And how lazy isn't it not consider the fact that there may not be any gods or deities? Or, at the least, that the Christian religion isn't correct? I guess it's not really lazy, just REALLY arrogant. I t's also ironic that you accuse those who consider other possibilities as lazy.
BTW, the belief that gods and deities do NOT exist is "anti-theism" not "atheism". An atheist simply doesn't have any beliefs in any gods or deities. Subtle but important difference.

Then they aren't Atheist, stupid.
And Atheist has to be a firm believer in science too. If they just say "God doesn't exist", then they are not Atheist, or anything for that matter. You don't need a religion.
And no, they aren't being lazy, they just don't really care.
When people talk about God to me, I tell them that I do not believe in God and for what reasons. I always backup my answers, because if I didn't then my statement really doesn't mean anything.

Dear friend,
All the religions are based on an AXIOM or allias DOGMA.
AXIOM or DOGMA, are acceptences by convention.
In the "religion" of Mathematics we have the AXIOM 1+1=2 and after that we have built all the"mathematical thought"
In a religion we have the Dogma, "GOD EXISTS" and we have all the building of "fraud" and "deceit". If there is any proof that God exists....... I should be happy to study it...and make a decision...
but unfortunatelly all the "religious persons" mainly the "christians" go chasing like dogs their tail refering to the bible..
No chance to be convienced.... that your are right.

wow I am sorry but i think you have it the other way around. you choose to follow in your parents footsteps thus not thinking for your self and just doing what people have been doing for centuries. just following it blindly with no other option alive in your brain. Atheist on the other hand actually think about scientific reasons of why or why not god exists. Atheist think out side the box not traditional christains or any other religion people

I do not think that one needs to be an atheist nor christian nor muslim to give lame answers., it sadly tends to a part of human nature. If the atheist in question is not even open to other possibilites (because all things in life are uncertain) he/she is no better than the religious fanatic who does not question their own faith but answers with "beacuse god said so".

I agree with Angel and Damaged.
To Cre: how can you say no one can not believe in God? Just because you've met a few who claim to be Atheists, what does that mean to the rest of the world?

No I don't use boxes for reasons or to determine the truth. The fact is to adequate means I've determined to my satisfaction that there is no god and you just don't like it for no good reason!
this is only the conclusion of years of thought on both sides of the coin . I detect sour grapes !
