When you bleach dark hair, it turns red before it turns blond.

I assume that you started applying at the scalp and worked your way down. The heat from your head made the bleach process faster. You could bleach it again and start where it is the reddest and then work up from there. Its very tricky and hard to tell you how to do it online, but you might want to leave the bleach on the redder parts for 20 mins before you apply the rest - but that really depends on how fast your hair color lifts.

If you color it all one color again, it may still be lighter toward the scalp when you are finished. Just re-color the lighter parts if that happens.

Bleaching is hard to do at home unless its subtle highlights. Even then, if you havent done them before it can be tricky.

I would recommend just dying your hair back to its natural color unless you want to spend the money to get it done at a salon.

A good alternative to spending a ton of money at a salon would be to go to a beauty school. They're all watched by professionals so you don't have to worry about leaving there looking worse than when you came in! But for them to bleach it, it would only be like 25 dollars compared to 50 or more at a regular salon.

Good Luck!

Buy a safe color (something that won't go wrong). Invest in L'Oreal or any other trustworthy brand, and then color your entire hair with it. This way, you'll have a new hair color, and if you do it right, you won't end up in a mess. It's a win win situation dear. Save the experimenting for another day.

GoodLuck!

Bleaching your hair if its dark brings out the lighter versions of your dark hair, especially the red and orange tones. You got to go to a proffesional! Bleaching isn't easy, you have to do it based on your natural color and use toners so it won't look brassy and orange. If you try to do it on your own you are going to FRY your hair. It will burn it! It'll frizz up and might even fall out. Go see a pro!!

what i would do is, i would die the roots first since they are lighter than the rest of ur hair, leave there for 20 min, then die the rest of ur hair and leave it for another 5-10, then wash ur hair.
But wait a couple more days, then die it

After many years of trial and error, I never dye my hair anymore. I go a good upscale salon and have them do it for me. Yes, it's more costly, but your happiness with your hair should be first priority. Go to a salon where they do color correcting.

if you're going to do it yourself, and I would advise you to go to a salon, I would be careful and get a shade lighter then your actual hair color, the bleached hair will grab the hair coloring and make it too dark
good luck!

yeah..stop bleaching your hair yourself. Go to a salon and these sorts of things won't happen silly.
