Most seem to be unable to see that. It's amazing - and sickening.

It is not blackmail. It's like saying, if you cross the street when the "walk sign is on, then you'll get where you're going safely, if you cross the street when the sign says "don't walk" there will be consequences, therefore choose to cross at the appropriate time and you won't suffer any negative consequences. The choice is still up to me when I cross the street. That's what this is all about. There is a consequence for not accepting Jesus. The idea is that you would see what the results of the two choices are and then choose the one that is most beneficial. The problem is people want to be able to do what ever they want without any negative consequences. You can't drink 6 cases of an alcoholic beverage and expect to be completely sober. There are consequences. People want to live without any negative consequences, and then say God and christianity is unfair when something bad happens to them as a result of a choice that they made. God presents choices and to show you how much he loves us, he even tells us the results of our choices, and still leaves it up to us to decide what we will do. No person can blame God for choices that they make.

Well, you could become one of those who believe that once you accept Jesus that you are going to heaven no matter what, even if you are kicking and screaming and rebellious and wicked the whole way there. I still think you will have gate trouble though. God doesn't blackmail folks. Why all the anger and blasphemy and insults to Christians? You didn't accept any of the correct answers given you on this same topic previous so I think you just want someone to take your anger out on by Christian bashing. May God forgive you.

No, not blackmail, because it's in our very nature to reject God anyway. As for "acceptance", how can you pray any prayer of acceptance unless you have faith in the first place? What choice, we just don't have any ability on our own. If you believe that we do have that ability, then you put far more faith in man than I do.

Nope cause Jesus died on a cross for all of us..He shed His blood so we didn't have too...He sits at the right Hand of our Father and rules now...His ways are not hard to follow,,but it is stubborn people who want to do as they wish and think they can have a life better than the ones who have refrained from thier sins..There will be Christians who have called out Lord Lord but will not enter either..So call it what you want but I know Jesus my Messiah is coming back soon and you need to make sure your heart is right or you will live in a time where it will not be easy..

Let us presume that this is a real choice and not some primitive, barbaric myth perpetrated to extort money from the flock.
First, I would choose hell over heaven because I like the people who are more likely to go to hell: the inquisitive, the rational and logical, those who enjoy science and learning new things about the universe, those who enjoy sex without shame, those who are willing to take control of their lives, the generous for no other reason than it helps those who need help. These are the folks who are going to hell.
Second, I choose hell because I will never a human blood sacrifice for my problems. I utterly reject a parent's offer to kill their child on my behalf for any reason and I would rather go to hell than ask that.

Is it blackmail when you buy a TV set and destroy it by ignorance because you were too prideful to read the manual that came with it, thereby damaging and destroying the TV? Your choice, Baby.

CHRIST

16
Afterward Christ came, saying, “I am born of the Holy Spirit.” Though it is now easy for the Christians to believe this assertion, at that time it was very difficult. According to the text of the Gospel the Pharisees said, “Is not this the son of Joseph of Nazareth Whom we know? How can He say, therefore, I came down from heaven?” 1
Briefly, this Man, Who, apparently, and in the eyes of all, was lowly, arose with such great power that He abolished a religion that had lasted fifteen hundred years, at a time when the slightest deviation from it exposed the offender to danger or to death. Moreover, in the days of Christ the morals of the whole world and the condition of the Israelites had become completely confused and corrupted, and Israel had fallen into a state of the utmost degradation, misery and bondage. At one time they had been taken captive by the Chaldeans and Persians; at another time they were reduced to slavery to the Assyrians; then they became the subjects and vassals of the Greeks; and finally they were ruled over and despised by the Romans.
This young Man, Christ, by the help of a supernatural power, abrogated the ancient Mosaic Law, reformed the general morals, and once again laid the foundation of eternal glory for the Israelites. Moreover, He brought to humanity the glad tidings of universal peace, and spread abroad teachings which were not for Israel alone but were for the general happiness of the whole human race. 17
Those who first strove to do away with Him were the Israelites, His own kindred. To all outward appearances they overcame Him and brought Him into direst distress. At last they crowned Him with the crown of thorns and crucified Him. But Christ, while apparently in the deepest misery and affliction, proclaimed, “This Sun will be resplendent, this Light will shine, My grace will surround the world, and all My enemies will be brought low.” And as He said, so it was; for all the kings of the earth have not been able to withstand Him. Nay, all their standards have been overthrown, while the banner of that Oppressed One has been raised to the zenith.
But this is opposed to all the rules of human reason. Then it becomes clear and evident that this Glorious Being was a true Educator of the world of humanity, and that He was helped and confirmed by divine power.
1. Cf. John 6:42. [ Back To Reference]

The root cause of wrongdoing is ignorance, and we must therefore hold fast to the tools of perception and knowledge. Good character must be taught. Light must be spread afar, so that, in the school of humanity, all may acquire the heavenly characteristics of the spirit, and see for themselves beyond any doubt that there is no fiercer hell, no more fiery abyss, than to possess a character that is evil and unsound; no more darksome pit nor loathsome torment than to show forth qualities which deserve to be condemned.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 136)

For just as the effects and the fruitage of the uterine life are not to be found in that dark and narrow place, and only when the child is transferred to this wide earth do the benefits and uses of growth and development in that previous world become revealed -- so likewise reward and punishment, heaven and hell, requital and retribution for actions done in this present life, will stand revealed in that other world beyond.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 185)

Think ye of love and good fellowship as the delights of heaven, think ye of hostility and hatred as the torments of hell.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 245)

But the paradise and hell of existence are found in all the worlds of God, whether in this world or in the spiritual heavenly worlds.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 223)

Know, then, that those who believe in reincarnation are of two classes: one class does not believe in the spiritual punishments and rewards of the other world, and they suppose that man by reincarnation and return to this world gains rewards and recompenses; they consider heaven and hell to be restricted to this world and do not speak of the existence of the other world.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 282)

Be ye a rich treasure to every indigent one; consider love and union as delectable paradise, and count annoyance and hostility as the torment of hell-fire.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. 37)

Agreed

That why I don't care if you accept Jesus or not.

God doesn't want QUANTITY, he wants QUALITY.

I don't waste my time trying to convert narrow minded donkeys. It's up to them to see the light or not to. I'll let the Religious and Atheist Fundies try all that conversion stuff.

I'm here to jolt you and enlighten, whether your like it or not. I'm here to pull the rug out from under you.

I tell you your scientific theory of how things started came from a Catholic Priest and let you digest on that for a bit.

It's amazing how silent Atheists get the moment they find out their big theories came from a Priest.

Most have stopped ranting about the Big Bang. The moment they realized it had something religious connected to it, it suddenly became a taboo topic.

I love pull rugs out from under people.

"Blackmail" is really not the best word choice. An emotionally-laden word, for sure, like propaganda. "Coercion" would be better. But, would this be wrong, "This building's on fire, get out now or you'll die"?

Hell, in my opinion, is retarded. The idea that there is such a place where the 'sinners' go is horrible. Why people would believe such a thing is beyond me.

I assume you don't have any children that you tell that they must accept your rules or they will be punished? Isn't that also blackmail?
