just about. The only difference I can think of is that instead of a comma after "dear blah" you put a semicolon. Ex.
Querido Juan:
Te echo de menos mucho. COmo estas? blah blah etc. blah blah blah blah blah.

It is almost backwords from English, let the guy above do it for you . So you get it right. Or get a friend to...i do not know spanish but I do have a few friends that speak it.
