Body butter is thicker than lotion & normally doesn't take as much as lotion to moisturize your skin. I just got a whole lot of different body butter for christmas & I love it. All body butter isn't the same so some may not moisturize the skin as well as others.

Body butter is really a 2 in 1 product, as you need no perfume, it scents your body as well as protects and moisturizes it. Once you slather yourself with the delectable body treat your skin will be wonderfully scented all day. Your skin will be soft to the touch all day with little need to re-apply, as a little goes a
long way. A little body butter really does make everything better.
Unscented body butter is also great for moisturizing your face, you will absolutely glow, and people will see this and comment on how healthy your skin is looking lately, and the best part is that you after time you won't need makeup to hide skin imperfections. Body Butter is an indulgent, delectable skin treat, especially if it has ingredients that are beneficial to your skin like high quanitites of quality shea butter, monoi de tahiti oil and vitamin E. Shea Butter is 100 times better for your skin than lotion, and is more comforting for your skin.
Good luck on your Quest!

Body butter is supposed to be better than lotion because it is thicker and it does make your skin feel softer, just give it time, you will eventually notice results.Oh and it smells wonderful.

Try Palmers Cocoabutter, that will help a bit with the stretch marks but not much.
