LOL......I have one 4 inch cross on the inner wrist of each arm, and b4 I did it, I thought the area would be rather sensitive, but it turned out to be not all that bad. As you may have already heard, any tat that touches the spine is the most painful tat, in my opinion-that is correct.
It's not that bad....and to help a little more, I can tell you that I have a ZERO TOLERANCE for any type of physical pain, and yet I have 4 tats, and 4 piercings.....I made it, u can too.
It feels like a scratch that vibrates....thats the only way I can explain it> u be aight!~

I have a star on each of my inner forearms. They actually didn't hurt too bad. I also have a large piece on my right calve, that hurt like a b*tch, especially all of the black filler. The pain level is a huge difference between the two places so don't sweat the forearms, you'll do fine. I hope this helped, if I can help more feel free to ask...

Getting a tattoo in general hurts and the forearm is no exception. Usually getting a tattoo on a body part where the human bone is more obvious tends hurt like the foot, achilles, and so on. In the end it all depends on the human threshold. I have friends that have tattoos where they would be sweating and cringing but other friends who feel nothing. If you really want one on the forearm, ask someone first and see if you still want it. Good luck.

Of course it hurt's ! you have needles piercing your skin at an awesome rate somewhere in the 1000's per minute, But dont worry the heat from all that friction should take care of any bleeding, and the burning sensation this will cause, should quickly overcome the pricking senstion of the needles, what you are contemplating doing is akin to minor surgery i.e having a mole cut off minus the anesthetic. Hope this answers your question.
P.S
After a few minutes of this Your body will release endorphins, this will have one of two effects.
1. You will suddenly feel really good then pass out.
2. It will help You over ride the pain.

Yes it hurts every where getting a tatoo, I would say it hurts more so that anywhere else tho, although it does tend to hurt a bit more in areas with less meat, so if your arms are very thin then it may hurt more....But after 5 or 10 minutes your body starts kickin in adrenaline and you stil feel pain but it doesnt feel that bad after while....Some ppl including myself begin to almost enjoy it after a long session.....and Im not a wierdo it just feels like your conquering pain and it can be quite good, others have the mindset of this hurts like ****, normally one the first tattoo....

People have different physical tolerances for pain. Usually, sensitive areas such as nipples, tickle areas - like under the arm are dicey. Shallow bone areas - collar bone/ribs if skinny, are dicey as far as "jumping around under the knife" as it were.
Find someone to work out the tat while yer sober, who knows how to tattoo with heavier bleeding. Filipinos are good for that.
Self-anesthetize and NEVER tattoo in a commonly visible area until you've had children. Just my 2¢

Many years ago I met a Swedish lady here in Bangkok. She wanted a dragon tattoo on her back. However like you she was scared that it would be painful.I took her to a shop to get it done.In order to convince her it didnt hurt I had a small scorpion tattooed on my ankle. This should be a good test as it is close to the bone.No pain at all but at times it tickled.

the flesh you have on the body or in the spot the less it hurts. Now don't get me wrong it hurts for a few minutes until the skin goes numb, then it is just irritating. After all is said and done it will feel like a sunburn

Of course it will hurt.
The tattoo machine is actually using a tiny syringe to inject ink beneath your skin. Using such a tiny needle to draw a picture, it would take many many pricks on your skin.
This is the best way that i can describe how painful it will be. Many picks using a tiny needle over the area of skinwhere you want the picture to be on.

My skin started jumping of it's own accord when the artist got to my inner upper arm. Most of my upper arm is done-and that exact part was the worst. The inner forearm was nothing-the easiest tat I've ever gotten.
