If you're girlfriend is constantly stressing about getting pregnant, then most likely her menstrual cycle can be affected by her stress. Yes, that may seem weird, but it happens. However, I also get sharp pains when I am about to start my period as well. But, if she feel like something is really wrong and has nothing to do with her cycle then it may be best for her to see her doctor or go to a clinic. On another note, she may also want to consider a birth control method, such as the pill, so she won't be worried about getting pregnant.

She needs to see a gynecologist to make sure that 1) she isn't pregnant, and 2) there's nothing else potentially bad going on. Her symptoms can be caused by several things, some of which could lead to bad things. If she's scared of going to a doctor because of her parents or something, have her contact the local Planned Parenthood. They offer basic female medical care at sliding scale costs. She could also get onto birth control through them, which I recommend simply because it's that much more protection in addition to the condoms (which I'm really glad to hear you're using!).
Good luck!

I've had similar issues. For a couple of different reasons.
One being stress. I went without a period for several months due to stress. And YES, stressing about possibly being PG can cause you to miss periods.
Another being ovarian cycts. This didn't cause me to miss periods, to the best of my knowledge, but it caused alot of pain in the ovary area. I've had several rupture, as well, with is also VERY painful. Comparible, in fact, to appendicitis, which they thought I had at the time.

Take her to the Dr. It could be a world of things other than pregnancy including endrometriosis, fibroids, tumors, or cysts.
