I have friends who thought the same way, but then again after about 5~10 minutes out with them in a denim skirt they all changed their minds...
It's a perception thing -- what really broke all of them of their opinions was a close lady friend was out with us and she had the exact same denim skirt on and we took pictures together and joked that we got the email that day to dress alike, she loved it, it was hilarious and everyone had a good laugh ! Acceptance can be a very cool thing. As a result, we dressup in jean skirts, because it's fun to match...
The thing is perception is the problem. Most people say things that they're not really sure about like crossdressing without actually experiencing someone who has crossdressed in front of them up close and personal, which is fine except for the stereotyping -- I'm definitely NOT gay... Some males -- like me -- just prefer to only wear skirts and nothing more with a polo shirt or shirt and tie combination. Yes, I do wear hose or not depending upon the weather, but at no point have I ever had any problems with anyone. Even my best friend was surprised to see me in a skirt, but as usual after about 10 minutes everyone gets used to it and moves on to another topic or if a girl in our group matches we have a blast talking about it. It's just clean fun, no one's getting hurt, what difference does it make ? I say, be yourself, have fun and don't worry about it...high school and college student males are now out there wearing skirts so it's becoming widely accepted that a guy CAN wear a skirt so just do it !
The world is changing...change with it or your kids will be left behind...
