I just received this 1.75 liter bottle as a gift. The bottle has been unopened for a very long time, it still has the unbroken USA Bottle Stamp label enclosing its top. I think they phased these labels out in 1976, so that would make this bottle at least 30 years old.

Not sure if aging really means any thing when it happens in a glass bottle. Further I don’t know if there are any collectors of “blended Wisky”.

I don’t see any serial numbers, lot numbers or dates on the bottle or any of the labels. Any ideas?

Old smuggler is nasty *** cheap whisky, 20 bucks a bottle here, I'd just sit it on a shelf or buy some cola and get smashed, it aint worth nothing but a headache.

Scotch doesn't age once it's opened, so basically you've got a bottle of 6 year old blended Scotch Whisky on your hands. As to value, if there is some significance to the war years, perhaps. If not, I would guess probably not. The history, if any, is worth more than the whisky.
