is there any reason to think that the child isn't his? I have never heard of a free DNA test just because you don't sign the birth certificate. not trying to sound rude here but there is spell check. Maybe you should worry more about taking care of this innocent child more than if the father is going to stick around, get on your feet where you don't need a man to support you.

NO, It depends on the state you have the baby in. Tell him to get the DNA test so when it comes back postive, he knows he is the father and the state will not have to look far to get your child support. Men are like little boys when it comes to a baby and life sometimes they do not want to grow up and be responible for their action. Get the test done, so you can start your child support case.

if you take him to court for child support and he denies the baby, the court will order and pay for a DNA test. But if the baby is his, he has to repay the bill to the court. Other than that, he is not forced to accept paternity without the results of a DNA test.
At least thats the way it is in Virginia.

if he will not accept the baby as his own...then don't force him sooner or later especially when the baby grows older he will soon realize that he had done the biggest mistake of his life...
