The salts dissolved in sea water make it more dense than fresh water. This means you float higher, making it easier to swim. I have been told that the Dead Sea in Israel, which is extremely salty, provides even more buoyancy.

because the area covered by river is less therefore it has more pressure while the area covered by sea is large so it has less pressure of water therefore it is easy to swim in sea than in river.

simply due to density differnce between sea water and river water... sea water has high density so it gives u more byoncy... by this priciple only plimsol lines are drawn on ships...

Because the salt in the sea water increases the density of the water....So it helps things to flow by giving more upward pressure on bodies...The less dense water of the rivers makes it harder to float...hence harder to swim....
