I too have fought my curls forever. I have been told that there is a chemical straightening process that (well the stylists) they called a "chinese" straightening???The more they talked to me about it and how long it would last, I was all up for it! THEN... made an appt. and got to the time needed to do it. The owner of the salon calls over the woman who was "the best" in his shop with the technique. Not only is my hair curly, it is 3/4 down my back. She looked at me and had a kind of overwhelming look on her face. (it IS a lot of hair-yould think I would be used to "that" look by now!!!LOL!!!) -said she would have to start about 8:00 am on Sat and it would take 6-8hours!!!! Im not kidding! But wait -theres more.....it costs $200.00 an hour to do. per hour! Couldn't really justify that since any chemical process has never worked. I still want to know WHY one of my best african american friends can get hers staright and I can't!!?? The minute it hits water...BOING!!!! WHY?! Now I am wondering about these new blow dryers that somehow"comb" through your hair? Hard to describe. But Im sure it would wreck our hair too. Hopefully someone will answer with the miracle cure huh? LOL -hang in there. I know too well what you mean. p.s.-one time, as a teenager someone tried to straighten it for me at my grandmothers' house. Just a small drop of the stuff they were putting on my head fell on her kitchen floor and it burnt a hole right through her old fashioned linoleum. Just imagine what that stuff was doing to hair!!! : )

well, i have just bought this. and to tell you the truth, it doesn't really work that well on my hair . if you read alot of the reviews on this product, they might say that it's awesome, but it really depends on what you think is "straight" and "easy to use"
