Tiger is in a league of his own, he is too talented for the rest and too focused to come back to the pack. Different players - Vijay, Phil, Els, Furyk, even David Duval early in Tiger's career - have tried to be the No. 2 guy but none of them have stayed there for more than a season or so. Tiger can lose any given tournament, but no other golfer can consistently seperate himself from the others over a long period of time like Tiger can. Don't even include Sergio Garcia in any argument until he wins a major.

Sure he will.........maybe when he is in his mid 40's or so. Then we'll have the younger generation debating with today's about who would win between them if Tiger was younger and still in his prime. Kinda like people do now with Tiger and Jack, or the boxing question, Tyson vs. Ali.......that's the beauty of sports....we will never find out, but it's fun to talk about.
I think Adam Scott could if he turns the corner...........it's a long shot though, Tiger is just sooo mentally tuff. The mental game is just something you have or don't have.....and Tiger has it.
Oh, and I don't think it's boring at all. I think it's awesome !!! Having the chance to watch someone dominate like that doesn't come along very often.

Since he doesn't win every tournament he plays in, he must have some rivals. It depends, I guess, on who is hot at the time. Mickelson, Garcia, Singh and others have had stellar careers at the same time Tiger has had his, so it's not like nobody but Tiger plays well. He's great, the best out there, but there are lots of guys who are very close. That to me means there are rivals.

At this time their is no one at his level. Point.. Mentally he is just too strong for anyone the play against... I think that in the near future someone will develop into a great rival for Tiger, but that's three to four year away.
It is my prediction that it will be someone like Padraig Harrington,Geoff Ogilvy or Adam Scott. Someone that has good distance off the tee, a solid iron game and a strong mental foundation.
But it will take a couple of years and a lot of final pairings for anyone to get a true feel for his Magnitude!!

I don't think Tiger will have a rival...because I believe rival hood first appears in the mind. Tiger has his own unique story. there will come the day that Simeone will pass his mark of excellence but his record & story ..his contribution to the game will never fade or become diminished by another who can equal or pass his mark. It is not "just " the stats that makes a legend...it is the persona mixed with the unique blend of contribution to the spirit of the game. it is based on these thoughts that I state my case.

I really do not know today's players are just as long as him and just as good but he still wins because he does not make any bogeys most of the time. As far as an individual rival don't know
the only guy from a mental standpoint and a game standpoint would be Chris dimarco he is a very athletic guy with a wont back down attitude watch out for Chris making charges on the back nine on sunday.

Tiger is at a level that no one can touch him when he's on...... kinda like Gretzky, Pedro, or Tom Brady/Joe Montana. The best at his trade, no debate.

Sergio? He has people that contest him. He doesn't win every week...but when he is playing his best golf...he is unstoppable. This usually happens in the last round of the majors when he is leading.
He is contested when he isn't at his best.
