I ve been allergic to dust for years now and it can be really crazy when u live in India, where dust is commonplace. Please suggest something that removes this allergy. Also please do not suggest medicine which is easily available. In India, one may not just about anything.

try to keep your house as clean as possible, vacuuming the mattress as well and change your pillow ...for going outside ware protecting mask...try to boost your immune system by having extra antioxidants and mainly vitamin C, consider also taking Spirulina from organic source..and visit Ayurveda doctor..as your Ayurveda medicine is 1000 time better from the western one!

To get rid of dust mites you can either wash or sun the upholstery, cushions , blankets and all other materials that come in contact with the skin. As for old books I have no foolproof method of getting rid of the mites but I did once iron out the pages of an old book that interested me before I started reading it . I managed to finish reading it without as much as a sneeze.

I think (am not a doc) that you have a mold allergy, not dust, or maybe both....the mold thing is easy enough....get a dehumidifier, they must have those in India....
You need to wash your hands alot and stay away from the old sofas etc....don't touuch your face unless your hands are absolutely clean...get anti fungal soap....hope it helps...I was allergic, or am allergic to mold and it can be miserable. We got a dehumidifier and it is soooooooooo much better...good luck..

Sounds more like dust mites to me. Could be mouse fleas. Can you get Seven Dust there? It's toxic, so be careful, a little goes a long way. Find out if you are allergic to it first.

Try shampooing the sofa, and use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment afterwards to control the dust elsewhere.

Good luck!

There probably isn't any medication you can use for this (other than an anti-histamine). Try washing more often to keep the dust off you.
