You can actually go to a pharmacy and get leg stretchers. I am not sure how much they cost...

First I would examine my want to be taller. i could understand if you had some kind of defect. I have seen a surgery that thay break your femur(upper leg) and place rods to connect the to ends of the bone and you gain a few inches. I dont know about the cost, I would guess a lot. Also I dont think insurance companies would cover a procedure like this.

The only way to make a person taller, that currently exists, is to break the long bones in the legs, insert pins, and let new bone grow over the pins.

Its excruciatingly painful, and requires a long period of recovery whilst the new bone grows. After that you require physical therapy to rebuild the muscle tissue in the legs. You may also need to relearn how to walk.

Oh - and its ridiculously expensive, and the legs are never as strong as they were before - at least as far as I understand it...

But I've considered it myself...

But I also really like short chicks... very hot...

Actually there is a surgery used on kids who are dwarfs or midgets. It is very painful. Rods are put through the bone above and below a break in the bone and are gradually pulled apart so bone will fill in the gap. They can give a kid a little more height. maybe 2 or 3 inches. It isn't done on adults.

there`s one where they snap your leg bones, and separate them, so the bone grows back to fill in the gap, but is only used for people with some kind of birth defects or something like that, because you can`t walk for at least 6 months

actually there is supposedly a place you can go in China.. you'd be off your feet for a year and it costs 25 grand.. I've sort of toyed with the idea myself, but I don't think I could be away from home for a year..

EDIT: nevermind.. I just did a search on it and it seems the practice has been banded in China.. I guess you (we) are out of luck.. :(

YES

But they won't do it for purely cosmetic reasons.

You wouldn't want it anyway, they put pins in your legs, connect the pins with screws, break your legs, widen the gap in the break by lengthening the screw between the pins pins, let your legs heal, break them again etc etc

Being tall is highly overrated. It's much harder to find clothes that fit, and it can make social situations quite awkward.

I dont believe so since the thing that makes us taller is our bones growing..and I dont think there's anything that'll jus make your bones grow
