PLEASE!!! PLEASE!! GO TO ANOTHER DOC. OR THE ER. RIGHT AWAY! DIABETES IS NOTHING TO MESS WITH ESPECIALLY AROUND THE LOWER EXTREMITIES CAUSE I'VE SEEN IT HAPPEN WHEN PEOPLE GET WHERE U R AND AS KIDS WE WERE ALWAYS TAUGHT TO LISTEN TO OUR DOCTORS THEY R RIGHT! WRONG!!!! GOT TO ER AND TELL THEM TO CHECK U FOR DIABETES AN EXPLAIN 8MONTHS IS A VERY LONG TIME FOR UR TISSUE TO BREAK DOWN AN GOD FOR BID U LOOSE YOUR LEG FROM SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A SMALL CUT.NURSE HERE I KNOW. BUT I WILL PRAY4 U! BUT KEEP AT THESE DOCTORS UNTIL U FIND A CURE,AN TELL THEM HEY I PAY U, TO CARE FOR ME TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE AN IF U CAN'T PLEASE SEND ME TO SOMEONE WHO CAN TREAT ME FOR WHAT IS BOTHERING ME AN ONLY AFTER U HAVE DONE ALL YOU CAN DO. I NEED A DIAGNOSIS NOW! OK DON'T GIVE UP. IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO GET 2ND,3RD,OR4TH OPINION. OK AN GOOD LUCK!!!

hi
not to sound gross but i had a friend with a similar situation about a year and a half ago. It was an open wound, that would not heal. She tried antibiotics, no dice. Dermatologists thought it was a spider bite, same result as yours. Finally on a whim, they discovered it was mites on the blankets and in the pillows that caused it. She bought new pillows, bed spreads, and sheets. Treated the mattress with some kind of stuff ask a pharacist. In less than 2 week, it healed on its own.

If you have had a wound that will not heal for 8 months, I would certainly be going to another doctor. Have you been tested for diabetes?
Please do not let this go on any longer--the tissue can begin to die.

You are most likely a diabetic. Go to an ER. Sometimes doctors actually think in ERs.

Oh, and fire your doctor.
