Your body wants to reach a balance and would try to "cure" itself. However, if you continue the habits or behaviors that caused the infection, you would end up with chronic candida infection that would cause you to gain weight and have other skin problems. I'd do a search on candida to see recommended treatments.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

My understanding of yeast infections is that if not treated will become worse and eventually harm all of your body. I used to get a lot of yeast infections and was tested for diabetes. I also found out I was getting it from my partner. He had to be treated at the same time. After that I never got them again. I also believe that a change of hormone can produce yeast. Eating to many carbohydrates and not bathing after exercises and wearing pantyhose or restrictive clothing.

The question is why are you getting a yeast infection? Is your immune system strong. Frequent yeast infections can be an early sign of diabetes or a weakened immune system.

Yeast infections can go away with time, but if you have persistent yeast infections you should be checked to make sure you do not have diabetes. If you are urinating or passing blood in your stool then you definately need to see a doctor. Urinating blood could mean a urinary tract infection. Passing blood per rectum could be simple or serious.

It just keeps casuing you pain. (you can't have sex, you'll give it to your partner.). It might make it up into your fallopian tubes and close them off. I'd go to the drug store and get some vagisil. Use it at night for 7 days. If it dosen't work, makes you sick to your stomach or causes a rash on your pelvis, see a Dr., Planned Parent hood can help you with that, if you don't have a regular Dr. A yeast infection is not from sex, it's bacteria. And if you don't get rid of it, it stays around...

You would end up with yeast in your entire body and very sick. And also may leave you unable to have children.. Not to mention you would be itching an awful lot!

Go to the dr, all you have to take is ONE (1) pill and it gets rid of it!

Discomfort and inconvenience are the worst problems associated with a yeast infection.

it will drive you nuts for one thing.
But it can lead to a more serious infection. You can also pass it on to your partner - not a good thing at all.
Treat it honey - it only takes a few dollars and a few days.
