because i really want to change my hair before xmas vacation is over, just for fun. I've wanted side swept bangs since the beginning of the school year but i wanted to wait for xmas vacation. And recently i've been thinking that layers would be cool, too.

PHOTOS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED of either side swept bangs or layers

I have side swept bangs and layers, and I love it! My stylist did an excellent job, and it turned out great. I have pretty thick hair, and it's wavy, so when I straighten it, it looks really cool. A lot of people at my school have been getting side swept bangs, and they look good on most anyone, so I would have to say, go for it! There's nothing wrong with changing it up every now and then. (But, if you get layers, remember that your hair will never be one length again, it will stay layered.)

I have side swept bangs and layers and i dont think i would ever change it!!!I think you should do it... but if u have fairly thick hair i would have the stylist thin it a little... bcuz sometimes layers can make ur hair look bushy!! Hope I helped good luck

I don't think it would be too much as long as the bangs aren't really long. I just changed my hair three days ago and my hair was just about that length and I cut it so it's just below my shoulder, got layers, medium length side swept bangs, and put lowlights in and I totally love it.

i have side bangs and layers but my hair is a little shorter than yours. i happen to love this cut that i have now! i believe it depends on your bone structure and hair type. my hair isnt thick or thin so getting layers helped me to get volume. layers gives your hair a boost of volume (rather than one length or hair with low layers) so it depends how poofy your hair is. also i have an oval shaped head and the volume helped even me out a bit. i think you should try it and always remember that your hair does grow so u can always change it!

It'd probably look really good on you from your description of your hair, but unless you're the kind of person who doesn't mind going to the salon a lot, don't do it. layers do nice things for thick hair but MUST be maintained. As for the bangs, well, I liked those a lot better when i had them than I did the layers.

I have side swept bangs and layers. I think it looks nice. It's pretty low maintenance as well.

the pic above is hard to see the layers but you can see the bangs.

here's another pic (not a good one, but you can see the layers):

here's a pic where you can kind of see both:
