i have a degree in photography and have been shooting for 15 years commercially and for gallery work.
nicely done!
the strongest component to your photos are the titles. many students tend to "untltle" them only because titles are usually the hardest element to master which can make or break a photo, expecially if the photo is weak.
for example, your "god is watching" is kinda a boring piece, but the title adds a conceptual element which strengthens the overall affect. (nice work with the polarizer).
your christmas balls are simply well printed. the small bit of grey in the corner balances the black in the rest of the work and the fact you have only 3 highlights creates excellent movement (triangular) with places for the eye to rest.
and again, the feathers are simple but the title is complex, it makes you read more into the peice (contact print or solarized?) either way, the grey and lack of contrast along with the title actually strengthens the work.
keep shooting, youre doing well with abstract and still life, try and expand with figures and human form and make sure you understand the use of color before you carelessly exploit it, use it to enhance your message and mood not simply to make things "pretty".. black and whites are raw and powerful because you strip away any associations you may have experienced with color.
keep in mind the concept is more powerful than technique so title wisely and imperfections create character.

you're only 16? your work looks like it is done by one much more experienced and mature.
you frame well, your choice of subject matter is good and imaginitive, ... good shots all of them
i think you have a good run at the contest...
good luck with it, but no matter the outcome of this contest, keep up the photography, classes are always a good idea (every artist i know takes classes, no matter how good they are, goes for photographers too.)
have you thought of joining a local photo club? we have one here where i live called the photo-alliance, they get together once a month and share pictures critiques have speakers go on field trips to take photos, have a show once or twice a year and they all have fun and learn from each other, you would probably have alot of fun with something like that.

OK, I've looked.
The first requirement for a beginner photographer is the willingness to learn and the intelligence to be able to accept criticism from those who are more experienced. I am assuming that you have those qualities.
The next requirement is that, if one does not have a natural 'eye', it should be learned. This is EASY and does not require attendance at a photo class.
THE best way to advance is to share your photographs on a daily basis with other enthusiasts on a photo-critique site. There are MANY. Some of them are so BIG that you will be a grain of sand on the beach. There are a few who are small in membership numbers and who will notice you and who will give you feedback. By so doing, you will advance on a personal level.
Try this - Lenz-Frienz is a very small membership site, very recently started. The members are a wide variety of levels, from the most basic beginner to professionals in the field BUT they are all very friendly and willing to give you free advice.
Go to
http://lenz-frienz.freehostia.com
Near the top left of the screen, under the logo, you will see
Lenz-Frienz@YahooGroups
Click on that and it will invite you to join.
Enter a screen name and use the password 'moveon'
You can change this password to suit yourself later.
Still, that should get you started?
Any probs, contact Mike (Admin) direct on
mikewkay@yahoo.co.uk
Now ... There are two immediate recommendations that I would pass on here and now. First, photo-edit. Your BW images lack 'depth'. They look 'flat'. There are a number of ways to improve the look and the first that comes to mind is the use of the 'Contrast' adjustment.
Second, you are in the classic beginners' habit of placing your core subject centrally in the frame on quite a few of your shots. Not generally a good idea for visual impact. If you do not know about the Rule of Thirds, perhaps you should research it (try google?) or ask to have it explained to you by one of the LF members.
LF (Lenz-Frienz) may well be relatively quiet over the next few days - it is the holiday season. Do take a look and, if you like what you see, register and join in?
I look forward to seeing your name surface there ...
Kit.

Artistically you seem to have natural sight. Whatever technical difficulties you may encounter you should be able to work out.
I would classify your work as an art form of photography... good luck on the future.

Please read: I don't believe they are yours. The types and variations of the photographs tends to suggest more than one artist involved or someone older and more experienced. Plagiarism is a prosecutable offense. However - if I am wrong, and these photographs are of your own hand, and yours alone; KID, YOU HAVE TALENT. I was never allowed to pursue my work when I was your age. If you are not b-s-ing me, please continue working at all costs. You are on the right track and the work you showed me is not dis-similar to mine, so I am all the more impressed. Go to a good school. Best of luck.

I liked them, I only saw these; liquid, god's watching, feather, etc...
I don't see anything wrong with them, and good luck!
