Personally I feel this article is complete nonsense. I will contact my congressmen on Tuesday and request more raids.

Not exactly. Raids are aimed mostly at employers who hire illegal aliens, and they are brought before an immigration judge and allowed to plead their case, before a deportation order is given, in which case they are flown to their country of origin, where they are admitted. This is not a common practice, the policy calls for arresting and deporting mostly dangerous criminals. There is no attempt being made to arrest and deport 12 million people.

To understand what the Nazis did, you must realize that there were only half a million Jews in Germany in 1933 when it became official government policy to force them out of Germany. First, they were stripped of their German citizenship, so they became illegal aliens. The Nazis opened offices to help them get immigration to other countries and leave voluntarily, financing the trip if they could not afford it. By 1939, only 219,000 Jews were left in Germany, when they began to arrest them an forceably deport them to ghettos or imprison them, . It took them until 1943 to announce that they had caught them all, and after the war it was learned that they had eventually killed about 90% but missed about 10%, who had forged papers, hidden, or escaped.

So there are some parallels in that rounding up "illegal aliens" according to how we define the law at the time, would be a monumental task taking tens of thousands of immigration officers and policemen decades. Even if new ones were not arriving all the time.

But the fact remains that we do not starve them or kill them. That is a big difference.

First of all Jews were doing nothing wrong and were legal residents of the country they were living in. They had businesses and rights taken away from them for no reason whatsoever.

No one is saying that the white race is superior and no one else should exist. They are just saying that we are U.S. citizens and everyone should abide by U.S. laws.

We want Mexicans to go back to their own country. They are not rounded up and forced to work in prisons or killed in gas chambers. No one says that their race should be abolished. Mexicans are 100 times better off than Jews were at the time. I don't see any comparison in the least.

The Mexicans come here, lie like crazy and get the best of both worlds. They don't have to hide in fear of their lives like the jews.

Mexicans could earn respect if they respected American laws, but most don't care too.

How dare anybody make such an uneducated comparison?

They are trying to play a sympathy card big time, because they know they are going to lose this battle.

Holding on to every straw! However said that ought to just shut the f up!

And btw, I am a LEGAL immigrant in this country and I get highly upset about people bypassing the law (including but not limited to the immigration laws) and making my life harder.

To you all you illegals out there: you don't like the way you are being treated, do us this favor, and go back home!

not even close, the nazi's were pro's at it, and the us border gits cant do half the job they did. Not saying the nazi's werent animals and evil, but at least they were relatively effecient. I wouldnt even say the immigration raids are in the same category as rounding up the indians early in this country's history or the japenese american concentration camps we had here in the 40's. All those dealt with mostly innocent people, by definition the illegals are ILLEGAL.

How can anyone make a comparison like that. Jews were rounded up and gassed or shot to death simply because they were Jewish. Hitler wanted to end their existance from the face of the earth period. Illegal immigrants are just being told to stay at home in their own countries.

it is a very bad analogy...Jews were rounded up based solely on their race and religion and then exterminated by a megalomaniac dictator by the millions. The raids described are about rounding up people who are in the country illegally...I am no big fan of this administration's immigration policies but this analogy is absurd

Not at all. Nazi raids in germany were a fascist government overstepping their bounds by illegally searching for, detaining, and eventually killing millions of German born Jewish citizens. What we do here is more of a catch and release program by comparison. We follow due process, the state doesnt confiscate their posessions, we dont beat them, and we certainly dont murder them in the process.

There is a BIG differance in what the Nazi did & the INS. THe Nazi raids were for legal citzens where the INS raid are for illegals.

What a ridiculous comparison. These groups are getting more and more desperate. These groups need to be told to shut up and stop aiding illegals. They are not immigrants. They have broken the law.
