Some of us would still be waiting for the Messiah.

Do you mean if he never came to earth at all? Or if he chose another way to atone for our sins?

If it is the first answer - a lot worst off.

If it was to chose a different approach to salvation, that would have been God's way of accepting us and it would have been just as effective. Remember this was God's plan from the beginning, so it really wouldn't matter the means to the end. However, blood was the sacrifice God required. Think back to the garden of Eden, God made the first sacrifice. Adam and Eve sewed together fig leaves to cover their nakedness. God gave them clothes made of animal skin. That required the animal be sacrificed and the blood atoned for the sin and the clothes were used to cover the result of the sin. If you look thru the Old Testament you will see the laws requiring sacrifice to atone for the sins of the people and nation. If Jesus had not come and paid that price, we would probably be still sacrificing animals today in order to atone for our sin, but that wasn't God's plan. Trust Him, He knows best.

We would not have a chance for salvation and we would still be at enmity with God. But all of God's wrath for sin of mankind was poured out upon Jesus on the cross, so we are now able to be called a friend of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. There would not have been the stripes on His Back for our healing and we would still have the weight and shame of sin upon us. He would not be able to write His Laws and His Ways on our minds and in our hearts. He would be unable to live within us. I could go on and on listing more, for there are so many things that would be different. When Jesus lived and died and rose again for each of us, He changed absolutely everything. PEACE!!!

Then we would all be under the Jewish Law and non-Jews would have no opportunity to be in heaven without HIS INtervention. The Jewish People could never hope to be sinless and were constantly going against GOD's Laws. That is a big reason that Christ was sent. HE gave HIS Earthly Life so that we would have an opportunity to be in heaven. Many of us are very pleased that we have this awesome opportunity and responsibility that goes with it! Have a great week.

Let me get this straight...
* Jesus died for our sins.
* We are all still sinners.
*In order to recieve "salvation" we have to accept Jesus into our heart.
*Jesus has been dead for almost 2000 years now.
*In 2000 years, EVERYONE who has lived has been a sinner.
*So, the fact that Jesus died for our sins doesn't really count, except for those who were alive at the time of the crucifiction.
*That means that some 1,973 years worth of people who have lived since Jesus's time have NOT recieved his grace through that tricky suicide he committed

Sounds like Jesus really died for nothing if ya ask me...

Now, considering the Crusades, the Inquisition, the various killings of people accused of witchcraft, vampirism, lycanthropy, and the current trend of gay-bashing by Christians: my guess is that the world would be a MUCH better place if Jesus of Nazareth had never even been born!

God condemned men with a worldwide flood. God condemned Sodom and Gommorah. And God will condemn again. Because hates sin. Because good men cannot seem to stem the tide of evil.

Then Christians would be screwed!

Luckily, the rest of us would all still be all right. Jesus didn't die for OUR sins, and we've been doing just fine!

The same as it is now. There's nothing that would have altered the future unless something major happened;

Like, the nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki changed warfare forever after. Hitler showed us that world leaders can't always be trusted. A volcano called Mt. Vesuvius wiped out an entire city a LONG time ago!

So, unless something physically happened in that time frame, JC basically became part of those who died and... that's all, they just died.

It would already be destroyed. You see without the grace of God thru Christ man was of no use to God. God desires fellowship but God is holy and man without being washed in the blood of Christ can't fellowship with God because he is lost in sin. It is the Spirit of God the new creature that comes with Salvation that worships God in truth. We in ourselves have nothing for God. But God had something for us. Praise God!
