No there are no retarded angels only retarded people like the people who had my original answer removed because it was probably only humerous to some people. Its obvious that when someone asks what kind of job god would give a retarded angel that this person is not looking for a serious answer so aside from the asker, the rest of you should learn to respect other peoples opinions and answers whether you agree with them, find them funny or offensive. If you dont like it go to church, watch discovery channel, dont come here to a Q&A forum full of different people and different ideas.

p.s.-

God has all the retarded angels do the trash, dishes and mow the lawn becuase they dont know any better and he hasnt heard any of the other angels complaining about it.

If you think this was a serious question and you answered with a serious answer then who is the retard. Not I!

No. "It's A Wonderful Life" was just an entertaining movie. There is nothing scripturally sound in that movie. People don't die and get turned into angels. They are "like the angels" in the sense that they don't marry other humans in heaven. But everyone "going to heaven" (eternity with God will be located on earth, the Bible says so) will be married to the Lamb (the Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah).

Once you die and go to heaven there will be no more sickness or disease. So in essence this person would be whole again and without fault. As for being an angel, check it out, we humans are more precious to God than His angels. So that would be like taking a step back.

Oh yeah, our only job when we do get to heaven is give God the glory and praise He deserves.

Does not work that way, People do not become angels. People are / were humans. Angels are spiritual beings, strictly messengers of God, not given freewill as humans have. Humans were given the power to choose and think for themselves, and humans have a chance at physical life, Angels are eternal and pure spirit and do not have power of freewill, power to choose, or the luxury and challenges of physical life on earth.

Jesus said the first shall be the last, and the last shall be the first.
The smartest and first in class here on earth may be the last to be welcomed to heaven; conversely, those who had the misfortune of being mentally challenged may be the first welcomed to heaven. Its the quality of your heart and soul that counts, not your IQ.

Some retarded people here on earth can remind smart people of some important things about being human, being humane, loving, forgiving, living in peace, and appreciating and enjoying life no matter what.

Some of us humans may see with the human eye him as retarded. But God knows the gift he has, and as a Spirit out of the body, He or she can do things on a new level spiritually. Everyone of us are gifted in a special way designed by God for his purposes. We may not see it, but it's there, perhaps he can connect, communicating in such a way, with others that you know not how to. God may only know what kinda jobs he is capable of as an angel, like I said helping in the way he was gifted.

people don't become angels. Not sure where that myth comes from.
What is the tone of this question?
Mentally challenged people will be in heaven with the Father in their perfect bodies. There is nothing they will not be able to do - and every indication that they will have more to do than any of us.

If there was a heaven, then it would be filled with normal people because the retarded people who died would transform into a perfect state, as heaven is a perfect state. but there is no heaven,, only retarded people, unfortunately. I hope your christmas was nice.

People do not become angels. Angels are ministering spirits created to serve God and His family

(Hebrews 1:13) But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

(Heb 1:14) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

I don't believe humans become angels. Angels are a different being and are not born in the same manner or of the same make-up as humans. I don't think they will resemble us very much.
