you love him but dont want to date him? Huh? How can you love a guy if you never dated? Or do you mean continue seeing someone?
I guess there are a bunch of reasons to stop seeing a guy even if you love him...its possible to love and yet know its not going to work...

Yep; it's not as implausible as some of these people would have you think. There was this guy who I really cared for--possibly even genuinely loved--and what's more I knew he loved me back. I wanted to date him so badly those first couple of months, but I was afraid of being hurt because he had sort of a reputation. That issue went away but I was still hesitating because I was dreading realizing that the reality of dating him (and for him, the reality of dating me) wouldn't stand a chance against these trumped up ideas we'd built of each other and I didn't want to lose him as a friend. It got to the point where I became completely burned out on him. I was tired of being interested in him. That was when we finally, REALLY went out. It never got off from there; we gradually but quickly drifted after that. And I know it's probably my fault for waiting till it got to the point where we were more acquainted with the idea of each other than the reality. I'm seeing someone else now and I'm happy, but I still wonder sometimes what might have happened between us if I'd let it.
My advice to you is to go with your gut instinct and your heart. If there's something wrong with the guy (drugs, violence, etc.) then there's a reason you're not jumping into dating him. But if it's just your own insecurity, like it was with me, then you could be missing out on something really good. Give both of yourselves a chance. =]

Yes, I have. Because of the circumstances being that he wasn't clearly and entirely single. I could have pushed but I wanted to let him do the right thing. I can't think of any other reasons why someone should not date someone they love. Maybe if he was a criminal bad boy, but then I would not have loved him in the first place, or stopped loving him when I found that out.

yeah..I don't love him but I really like him and we're becoming good friends...I'm pretty sure he likes me back but...well we're different races n hes a bit shorter than me...maybe 2-3 inches..idk... but i dont care about the race thing...just that hes shorter and that he has a smaller body type than me..lol like I hugged him once n it was kinda awkward because of the height thing
I like him a lot and everything but I don't know what our relationship would be like

i really do but i just don't wanna ask him out or anything cuz i'm a shy person. sometimes i always think dat da one i luv luvs me back.
