Well he wanted to be friends with benefits, but I broke it off because I have feelings for him and want more. But he still emails me about his life and stuff so I guess he still wants to be friends even though I won't sleep with him any more. So what should I do? I"m thinking if I stick around and be friends with him maybe he'll want to be more? Maybe he just needs some time to ease into it? I really like him a lot so it also hurts a lot that he doesn't want more. So anyways I'm just confused about what I should do. Merry Christmas! Thanks!

I have a similar problem now, and have been through this several times with other people. Sadly, the pattern suggests "it just depends".
He may change his mind if you stick around. And, you may change your mind. This hurts a lot today and will...maybe for a long time. But, if he's a good friend, you're going to reach a place in life where you'll miss that if you let it go.
If it hurts too much, if you can't be a good friend to him on the terms that are available, then you have to let him go. Accumulating hurt and anger for months or years is not going to help anyone. Try to pull away and move on. Be honest with him, explain where you are. The risk of losing you as a friend may make him reconsider his own feelings too.

Give up he will not change his mind and even if he does and wants a relationship don't believe him because he got it just being friends with benefits

At this point if he dont want more its not gonna change. And of course he is still telling you stuff about his life.....he wants to be Friends w/ benefits. I think you should try backing off for a bit or at least till your not so confused. It's like that saying goes...If you love something, set if free. If it comes back to you, then it was meant to be

Don't be his friend! If you have feelings for him, you'll end up getting hurt if you stick around. If a man really likes you, he'll let you know and at least he was honest. It's up to you if you want to stick around to see if he'll make you his girlfriend. But don't be surprised if he tells you about a new girl that he's infatuated with.

I think you have the right idea about keeping him on the back burner. He may mature. You just need to make sure you have a plan and a plan b while he is plan C. Just let him know that you never made love with anyone that you did not care about, and you never did it out of desperation.... Which is a lot more than he can say.

eh. guys can be such jerks sometimes. i had one that didnt even say friends with benefits.. but got pissed when i saw other guys. eh.
friends with benefits is his way of having you around until he finds someone better.
Do yourself a favor and find someone better. I know it hurts. But you dont need a creep like that.
Because if he really wanted more you think he would have said friends with benefits ? he would have wanted the relationship then ..

You need to accept the fact that your are more mature than him and he is a jerk! If that is all he wants, tell him to find a whore! Waiting around for him to grow up will only make you miss out on opportunities ahead of you! You will meet someone really great and forget all about him!

It seems he never wanted to stop being friends but didn't want to hurt yoiu b/c you have feelings for him and he doesn't feel the same way. So if you are willing to put how you feel about him, then I think that you should continue to be his friend. If not then maybe it would be best if you two went your seperate ways.....

well i think that whats done is done and it was a mistake to just be friends with benefits cuz you gave him that so ofcourse he doesnt want more he already got what he wanted and well if you wouldnt have been friends with benefits first you would probably have him now as your bf friends with benefits is what you use to get him back when you and your boyfriend break up
