My digital camera (Canon Ixus II, just over 2 yrs old) has started to take ramdon blurred pictures. First pic can be sharp, 2nd pic a bit blurred, 3rd pic very blurred. Then 4th pic sharp again. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it easily fixed? Should I upgrade to a new camera? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The cost of repair against the cost of a replacement is what you have to weigh up, so treat yourself to something nice and shiny and new with a guarantee on it.

Sounds terminal. The way prices are falling it will almost be certain that the cost of replacement will be equal or less than just getting it looked at let alone repaired. As a thought small cameras like the ixus do have a hard life...has it been powered up in a pocket where the lens can't extend?

I had same problem, after few tests I realised that the battery of the Camera and flashgun should be fully charged. With partially charged or old battery you will have the problem of blurred pictures. By the way I am not a technical or very experienced person.

YES (that stupid girl knows nothing about computers and processing) if your camera device is being read as a removable device, u can use special software as Iolo Search and Recover to recover ANY deleted file on ANY removable device, of course if that file has not been overwritten, and it's condition is above poor. Other helpful software: Active Uneraser, Hiren's BootCD Undelete, etc
