One method you can try is by right-clicking My Computer and selecting properties. Click the Hardware tab and then go to device manager. After going to Device Manager click to see your CD/DVD-rom drives and you can then search the internet to see if your particular model has the ability to burn. God Bless and Merry Christmas.

To know if your computer can burn a CD you should look at the CD drive itself. Usurally on the front of the drive it will say CD RW or DVD RW if it can burn. Otherwise if your computer came with burning software it can burn. THere are alsp programs such as CD Drive speed test (just do an internet search to find it) that are avalable for free that will tell you if your drive can burn

double click 'my computer' and look at the d: drive, see if it says cd-rw
the rw means read - write = reads and writes = burns cds

there usually is a CD burning option in your windows media player, if it works then you'd know:-) or if the cd rom has a "RW" written on it

Look at the front of the drive
It will say cd-rewritable or something
