Yes - humans are a mammalian species of bipedal primate called "homo sapiens."
Many people believe humans are separate from animals because of our superior intelligence, but I think intelligence is just a trait that every animal has, some more than others. Cheetahs and peregrine falcons are superior in speed, elephants and Kodiak bears are superior in strength, and squirrels and jaguars are superior in agility, for a few other examples of superiority. Just because we are capable of more things than other animals intellectually does not make us something foreign to the Animal Kingdom.

Man was created in GOD's IMage from the dust of the earth in Genesis 1. No other animal was. I imagine that some scientists consider man to be the same as any animal but I don't. Woman was created from man's rib as his mate also in Genesis 1. Have a great week!

No, we are not.
There is the:
"mineral kingdom"
"vegetable kingdom"
"animal kingdom"
"human kingdom"
The chief distinctions between the "animal" and "human" "kingdoms" are that the "animal kingdom" were created by the word of God; the "human kingdom" was started by God's forming us of the dust of the ground.
Also, the "human kingdom" has a "God-consciousness" and the "animal kingdom" seemingly does not. It is only int he past 50 to 100 years that humans have so seared their conscience that many now are close to having lost their "God-consciousness". That might mean they are on the point of becoming "animal-like", in the worst sense of that expression.

we are animals but categorized as mammals because weve learned to adapt to the surroundings around us and survive by using the resources provided by mother nature. but there are still some of us who think weve evolved from monkeys. but i wonder if thats the case then why is king kong still around making movies. and then I hate bananas

Yes.
We behave like animals economically, instead of for survival.
We have evolved like animals- survival of the fittest, economically- social Darwinism.
We compete for mates- except with a sex reversal.
Animal parents often care for their children- willing to DIE for them- much like the caring humans have for their own children.
If animals could not think, they could not survive- of be quick enough to get out of dangerous situations- unfortunately, humans often forget to think.
In all forms, we are animals.

Absolutely and...drum roll:
Genesis 1 - We have been dominion/rule over the animals.
Genesis 2 - We are Model 2 in that we carry the Breath/Spirit (one and the same word in the Hebrew) of God which makes us also the children of God!

I don't know about you, but I am a human being.
Some people think that they are animals. They act like animals. They even think that they are descended from monkeys. But I am not one of them.

Indeed. And what's so bad about that, really? If you feel a kinship to your brothers and sisters of other species, doesn't that make you more sympathetic to their plight? This is why evolution is such a positive force, and the "humans first" religions are so destructive to the planet!
