I know it is pretty horrible while some in the USA are worried about getting to many calories and the other half of the world are starving to death. Life is so unfair. Everyone should get one soy biscuit with wheat or other grain. So there is enough food for everyone. Ton's of food is throw away from these fancy restaurants every day;. Thousands of animals die for nothing.

How is lacking love for other living things Pagan? Pagans feel more love towards plants and other animals than we do for other humans the majority of the time! Come on now, that was just entirely uncalled for.
Now about the animals: I agree. We are slaughtering more than they are birthing, and that is a huge problem. Animals should no longer be mass murdered - hunting should be left up to individuals. If you can't hunt it, you can't eat it.
Remember: we are animals, too. Animals kill other animals to survive, be it to eat or avoid being eaten. That which is killed, is eaten. That which is left, is scavenged. Nothing goes to waste when the natural cycles of things are left intact, and there is no reason why we should not also participate in this particular cycle. But as things currently stand, you are right, things are way out of hand, and we need to cut it the f*ck out.
Oh, and merry Solstice! )O(

Perhaps you should ask P.E.T.A. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) why their President pays terrorists to firebomb medical laboratories, while she takes medicine that is made from an animal by-product...
Perhaps you should ask why people who like to throw paint on old women in their fur coats NEVER throw paint on bikers wearing leather...
Perhaps you should ask that while the same movements (P.E.T.A., A.L.F., World First, Greenpeace, etc.) argue about the rights of animals and the environment, NONE of these groups actually have an answer to the growing dilemma of feeding the population of this planet. It might interest you to know that these same groups are ALL against genetically engineered crops THAT WOULD FEED THE ENTIRE PLANET!
In the words of Ted Nugent, "Meat is food. Period!"
As for your problem with Pagans, as an atheist, I find Pagans to be infinitely more trustworthy and honorable than any Christian I have ever met! Pagans have more respect and love for the environment than a Christian could ever conceive of. In fact, most of the "intensive" farming you refer to is carried out by people who identify themselves with Christianity!
You might want to get a clue about the issues BEFORE making yourself look like an @ss in the forums. Food for thought...

God gave animals for food, and I am more that Happy to give Him Thanks as I eat them.
People are starving in India as Food walks all over them. You speak of Murdering Animals which were given by God for Food, but in India Hindus Murder Christians who once belonged to the lowest cast of The Indian people. Hindus in India kill almost as many Christians from among fellow Indians as Muslims do. Talk about "Bad Karma" ! You have more love for Animals than People !

God made animals for people to eat them. We are masters of the world and our job is to run the earth. If you want to live in a fantasy world, this is not the right one for you. Sorry.
