There are a number of passages that reference the saving grace of GOD. Here are a few. PLease read and study if you are truly interested in doing so. To become a real Chrtistian…
We are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.

Many books in the Bible give different answers.
Romans (chapters 3 through 5) is probably the most cited by evangelicals, with Acts (chapters 10 and 16), and those books say to just ask, and that's enough to be saved. Doing good isn't necessary.
The New Testatment book of James, and all the Old Testament say just the opposite: that you must do good works, or youre not saved.
Keeping your salvation is said to be automatic, no matter what you do, in some NT places (like John 9 and Ephesians 2).
But then in Hebrews chapters 6 and 10, the opposite is said.
Now you've come to an even better question than the one you asked: Do ANY of the books in such a Bible sound like they're worthy of your trust on the subject?

The Bible explans itself, to those who positioned forth sufficient personal attempt, have the acceptable approach, and the guidence of God's Holy Spirit and earthly company. An get at the same time of ways we may be able to can locate such rationalization is this verse in Revelation: (Revelation 21:a million) 21 and that i said a clean heaven and a clean earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had exceeded on to the great beyond, and the sea is not any extra. For a proof we may be able to seem at those 2 verses: (Isaiah fifty seven:20) “besides the indisputable fact that the depraved are basically like the sea that's being tossed, at the same time as that is unable to calm down, the waters of which save tossing up seaweed and mire. (Revelation 17:15) And he says to me: “The waters that you said, the position the harlot is sitting, recommend peoples and crowds and international locations and tongues.

John 3:16, acts 16:31, romans 10:10 and 13, john 6:47. john 1:12-13. It really depends which theology you prescribe to. Calvinism says you can never loose your salvation = matt 1:21, luke 19:10, 2 cor. 5:21, gal. 1:3 and 4 1 tim. 1:15, titus 2:14. For the Arminians or Mthodist, salvation is limited or can be lost and is to be worked on all the time. I do not have the scriptures for their side of the arguement only the Calvinst side sorry.

Only the letters that Paul wrote to his friends will tell you the answer to that question. In 325AD a few of the Religious Leaders decided to throw those letters into the New Testament.
Are you going to base your future on Letters from Saul (who changed his name to Paul) ?
Those personal letters said such things as:
1.women should keep their mouths shut in Church,
2. Women should cover their heads in church.
3. All sins are forgiveable except for the sin of having more than one wife. If a man and woman are divorced and the man remarries then Paul considers him having two wives.
4. You can ignore the 10 commandments blah blah blah
enough said -
(Do you really think you will not be judged by the 10 commandments?)
Remember, Jesus never said such things. Only Paul said such a thing, in order to expand his empire beyond the Jews; to entice the Gentiles.)
Jesus spent his entire life bringing us messages. Don't you think we should follow Jesus; instead of Paul.
John 3;16: Jesus said everlasting life comes from believing in him.
What do you think it means to believe some one?
To believe in him is to believe all the messages he brought us in the Bible. Jesus never said "look at me" he said "listen to me and understand my message"
Jesus was the end of the law. When you give a speech you list all the details of the subject matter, then at the "end" you summarize what has been said.
You never give a speech and then at the "end" say now forget about everything I have told you. Jesus was the end of the law, but he didn't end the law or do away with the law.- God Forbid.
What would you do if someone ran for President and said, "If I am elected, I will do away with all the laws." What would you think?

This being "saved thing... most Christians beleive in. Well, its not exactly correct. They assume that being saved is a ONE TIME THING and that after that.....you are always saved and no matter what you are saved!!!
Not true- Repentance is a daily thing.........you must repent and try and keep the commandments every single day. Its a daily thing, not a once thing.
Being saved is just ... well, its wrong.
Baptism is a one time thing but that does not mean the work ends. Being saved is a process..not a one time event.

Begin at Acts 2:38. It tells us to Repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and you shall receive the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will lead you in to all truth. The entire Bible must be read and studied, but with the help of the Holy Ghost it will no longer be a mystery to you.
Saved is a tricky word. Salvation is a lifelong process not a one time experience. It begins with having your sins washed away at baptism in Jesus name. But then we are told to take up our cross and follow Jesus. We must repent daily. We must strive to live a godly and holy life. Jesus said you must worship him in "Spirit and in Truth." The only way to know truth is to "study to show thyself approved".
Find your way to an alter of repentance and let God direct you.
God Bless.

Are you worried about doing something to get unsaved again? When you get adopted in to God's family it is for life unless you choose to leave so don't stress about that. To get saved there are several passages that are relevant:
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:3
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
