The bible belt is in the south USA. Namely Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, etc.
The bible belt is just a group of people that believe the bible more than the rest of the country.
When I lived in Tennessee; I used to quip that 100 years earlier; the Christians woul be holding a big bonfire in my honor.
Now I live about as far away from the bible belt as I can get and stay in the USA.

The Bible Belt was replaced several years ago by the Bible Suspenders.
Actually, it is an area in the South and Mid-West where a majority of the people act like they take Christianity seriously. That is not to say that professing Christians are not found in other areas. Its just that the laws and the culture in that area are more in accord with biblical teachings.

The Bible belt refers to the midwest and south where there are a lot of Christians. The ppl are not all perfect and they are individuals with good characteristics and bad points too. But they try to follow the Bible and they try to do the right thing. They're the kind of ppl who will help you change a flat tire or open the door for you if your hands are full of groceries. I have noticed that on both coasts, sadly, many ppl are soulless and have this idea that there is no right or wrong, just opinion. I once saw a kid in NYC who got caught shoplifting. His mom did not say "Mr shopkeeper, I am so sorry my kid stole from you." She was yelling"My kid has rights!"

The Bible Belt is in the south. It consists of many of the red states down here like Georgia, Alabama etc. where religion just runs rampant.
